Describe a Landscape in Your Country - IELTS PDF Download

You should say:

  • where the landscape is;
  • how people can get there;
  • what special things that foreigners would like to learn;
  • and explain why it is an interesting place for international tourists

Sample Answer:

  • India is a nation that supports diversity in every form, be it culture, values or landscapes. Here, I would like to talk about the Himalayan Mountain range, also known as the abode of snow. It stretches across five significant states of the country, such as Jammu and Kashmir, Sikkim, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh along with the Seven Sisters of Northeast, namely Assam, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Tripura and Manipur.
  • To reach this landscape, there are three varying routes. The one starts from Amritsar to Chandigarh. The other route is in Northeast that starts from Delhi to Varanasi. The last one is Leh-Ladakh that begins from Delhi and ends at Delhi. One can reach the landscape through aeroplane, train, bus or a personal vehicle as well.
  • There is a variety of things here that attract foreigners. They can take a shikara ride in Dal Lake. Additionally, they can take a car ride from Gulmarg to Kongdoori, relishing the scenery through the way. And then, paragliding in Bir Billing, river rafting in Rishikesh, driving through the Nathu La Pass in Sikkim, exploring the centuries-old root bridge in Meghalaya and some of the additional things to be done here that are pretty exciting.
