Access 

• Access (verb): To gain or make use of an opportunity or resource.
• Example: The company granted me access to their confidential documents.

Controversial

• Controversial: adjective meaning relating to a subject or opinion that people have strong and opposing views about.
• Example: The controversial topic of abortion has been debated for many years.

Invalidate

• Invalidate: To make something legally or officially wrong or no longer effective.
• Example: The judge invalidated the contract due to the lack of evidence.

Lethal

• Lethal means something that is capable of causing death. 
• Example: The venom of a cobra is lethal.

Mammoth

• Mammoth: adj. incredibly large or bulky.
• Example: The sofa was a mammoth piece of furniture that filled up the entire living room.

Liquidation

• Liquidation: The process of winding up a business, typically by selling off its assets in order to pay off its creditors.
• Example: After the company went bankrupt, it had to undergo liquidation to pay off its debts.

Landmark

• Landmark: a notable or recognizable natural or artificial feature used for navigation, a building or site that is easily recognizable, especially one marking the site of a historical event.
• Example: The Statue of Liberty is an iconic landmark in the United States.

Habitat

• Habitat: The natural environment of an organism or species.
• Example: The lion's natural habitat is the African savanna.

Alleged 

• Alleged means to be claimed or asserted, usually without proof.
• Example: The alleged thief was arrested by the police.

Accomplice

• Accomplice: a person who helps another person commit a crime, especially by actively taking part in it.
• Example: The police are looking for an accomplice who helped the thief rob the bank.

Cursory

• Cursory means to be done quickly, often with a lack of attention or care.
• Example: She gave the report a cursory glance before filing it away.

Havoc

• Havoc means widespread destruction or chaos.
• Example: The tornado caused havoc in the small town, destroying homes and businesses.

Indigenous

• Indigenous means originating or occurring naturally in a particular place; native.
• Example: The Indigenous people of the region have lived in the area for centuries.

Persevere

• Persevere means to keep going in the face of difficulty or discouragement.
• Example: She persevered in her efforts to find a new job despite being rejected numerous times.

Stereotype

• Stereotype: a widely held but fixed and oversimplified image or idea of a particular type of person or thing.
• Example: The stereotype of a stay-at-home mom is that she spends all day cooking and cleaning.

Raze

• Raze means to tear down or demolish.
• Example: The city razed the old school building to make room for a new shopping center.

Bias

• Bias: a tendency to believe that some people, ideas, etc., are better than others that usually results in treating some people unfairly.
• Example: The teacher had a bias against students who had grown up in poverty, often giving them lower grades than their wealthier peers.

Extrinsic

• Extrinsic means coming from an external source.
• Example: The student's success was due to extrinsic motivation from his parents.

Incisive

• Incisive means to be sharply perceptive, to cut through to the heart of a matter. 
• Example: The detective's incisive questions quickly revealed the truth.

Nomadic 

• Nomadic: (adjective) Describing someone who moves from place to place regularly, often seasonally.
• Example: The tribe of nomadic herders traveled across the prairie every summer following the green pastures.

Culpable

• Culpable means deserving of blame or guilt.
• Example: The judge found the accused culpable of the crime and sentenced him to prison.

Abrogate

• Abrogate means to revoke or annul (a law, right, or agreement).
• Example: The government abrogated the agreement after months of negotiation.

Complicity

• Complicity is the involvement or participation in a wrongful act.
• Example: The jury found the defendant guilty of complicity in the robbery.

Epithet

• Epithet is an adjective or phrase used to describe a person or thing. It is often used to emphasize a particular quality of the person or thing being described.
• Example: He is an "intelligent" epithet.

Gregarious

• Gregarious means sociable or enjoying the company of others.
• Example: She was very gregarious and quickly made friends with everyone at the party.

Paragon

• Paragon (noun): a person or thing that is regarded as a perfect example of a particular quality or type.
• Example: He was considered a paragon of virtue and integrity.

Preclude

• Preclude means to prevent something from happening or being done.
• Example: His lack of experience will preclude him from getting the job.

Scurry

• Scurry: To move quickly in a hurried or nervous manner.
• Example: The children scurried down the hall as soon as the bell rang.

Stentorian

• Stentorian (adjective) means extremely loud and powerful.
• Example: The stentorian voice of the preacher could be heard from the church down the street.

Valour

• Valour is bravery or courage in the face of danger, especially in battle.

Asperity 

• Asperity: harshness or roughness in manner or tone.

Fetter

• Fetter is a verb that means to restrain or restrict someone or something.
• Example: His addiction to drugs was a fetter that kept him from living a normal life.

Precipitate 

• Precipitate (adjective): precipitous, hasty, or sudden.
• Example: The driver's precipitate actions caused an accident.

Declaim

• Declaim: To speak in a strong and forceful manner, especially when expressing an opinion.
• Example: The politician decried the government's decision to increase taxes.

Supine

• Supine means lying flat on one's back, with the face and body facing upward.
• Example: He was found in a supine position on the floor after having fallen off the ladder.

Sinecure

• Sinecure: noun. A position with a salary but little or no work required.
• Example: The mayor appointed his brother-in-law to a sinecure in the city government.

Recant

• Recant means to formally retract or renounce a previously held belief or position.
• Example: The politician recanted his earlier statement and apologized for any offense it may have caused.

Interloper

• Interloper: An intruder or unwelcome person who interferes in the affairs of others.
• Example: The interloper attended the meeting without an invitation, much to the surprise of the other attendees.
