Cheatsheet: Input Output

Theory 

• Ordering input according to the given criterion for example alphabetically, increasing / decreasing order etc.
• Mathematical manipulations on the output which would be numerical in nature. The operations could be doubling, squaring and adding.
• Shifting or changing the positions of the alphabets/ words/ numbers e.g. "shifting first letter to last" or "interchanging first letter with last" etc.
• Others like making an alphabets capital, replacing alphabet by corresponding number
  

Tips

• If words do not change in the output after an operation, the operations are either reordering or shifting. In this case, check for reordering first and if it is not rearrangement check shifting next.
• If words do change in the output operation might be mathematical or fall into the category of other operations (eg. alphanumerical)
