IIM Lucknow Eligibility criteria 2023

1. IIM Lucknow eligibility criteria require that the candidate must hold a bachelor's degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (in case of the candidate belonging to SC/ST/PwD category, the eligibility criterion is relaxed to 45%
2. The candidate should appear in CAT 2022 exam and must score minimum prescribed sectional and overall score to become eligible for admission
3. If the candidate is awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks in his academics, the equivalence to determine PGP admission eligibility would be based on the equivalence certified by the institution/university from where the bachelor's degree is obtained. In case the institution/university does not have any scheme for converting the CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by IIM Lucknow by dividing the obtained CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the resultant by 100 to confirm the Admission eligibility of the candidate. 
4. A candidate appearing for the final year bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed the degree requirements and are awaiting results is also eligible to apply for IIM Lucknow MBA Admission 2023. Such a candidate must produce a certificate from the principal/head of the department/ registrar/director of the institution/university certifying that the candidate is currently in the final year or is awaiting final results and has obtained at least 50% marks or equivalent (45% in case of the candidate belonging to SC/ST/PwD category) based on latest available grades/marks.
5. IIM Lucknow Eligibility further clarifies that such a candidate, if selected, will become ineligible for the IIM Lucknow admission unless he/she submits a certificate latest by June 30, 2023 from the principal/head of the department/registrar/director of the institution/university (issued on or before June 30, 2023) stating that they have completed all the requirements (the result may, however, be awaited) for obtaining the bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification on the date of issue of the certificate.
6. It is mandatory for a final year student, who is provisionally considered eligible by IIM Lucknow and offered admission, to submit the mark-sheet and degree certificate of the final year bachelor's degree examination held on or before June 30, 2023.  The deadline to submit the mark-sheet and the certificate is December 31, 2023. 
7. Candidates seeking admission to PGP-SM programme should have minimum 2 years of work experience after graduation.

IIM Lucknow Admission Criteria 2023: Exam Accepted, Final selection Process

The admission policy 2023 of IIM Lucknow outlines two step selection process for the candidates. In the first step, IIM Lucknow will shortlist the candidates for Writing Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) from among the candidates who have a valid CAT-2022 score, who have applied to the programme and who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the programme. The second step is the final selection process on the basis of which admission offer will be made. • 98 & Above percentile marks in Class 12 will be awarded top rating of 10 points out of 100. There will be a zero weightage if the candidate has scored less than 80 percentile in class 12.
• Graduation marks will also be awarded a weightage of 10 points by IIM Lucknow after applying the normalization process to different academic streams like Engineering; Science; Commerce; Arts and others.  
• A female candidate will be awarded 5 points out of 100 in the IIM Lucknow shortlisting criteria for final admission round.
• Work Experience will carry a maximum weightage of 10% in the shortlisting criteria of IIM Lucknow for admission 2023. Only paid and full-time work experience of more than 6 months, acquired after completing the Bachelor’s Degree will be counted as on July 31, 2022.
• IIM Lucknow will award a weightage of 5 points for academic diversity. The courses that qualify for the award of weightage on academic diversity are Arts/Humanities, Commerce/ Economics,  Physical Education, Law, Medicine/Dentistry, Pharmacology/Pharmacy among others

• The minimum requirement for getting a pass in Personal Interviews is 12 out of 40 marks. Names of candidates who do not pass in PI will not be included in the final merit list.

Following 4 steps are included in the IIM Lucknow Admission process 2023:

• Step 1: The candidate must have appeared and scored the minimum required sectional and overall percentile in CAT 2022 to be considered for first stage screening process for admission at IIM Lucknow. Common Admission Test (CAT) 2022 to be held on Nov 27, 2022, is the mandatory exam for IIM Lucknow admission 2023 for PGP 2023-25 batch and for admission to PGP-SM and PGP-ABM programs
• Step 2: Candidates are short-listed for Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT) from among the candidates who have a valid CAT-2022 score, who have applied to the programme and who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the programme of IIM Lucknow. The Shortlisted candidates must fill in & submit the WAT-PI form online by stipulated deadline else they will not be able to attend the final selection round.
• Step 3: After the WAT & PI round, admission offers are made by IIM Lucknow to successful candidates. The final selection is based on a diverse set of attributes which includes performance in CAT, performance in WAT & PI, academics, co-curricular and extra-curricular achievements, work experience among others
• Step 4: Final Admission Offer will be made to the candidates in the third week of April 2023 on the basis of Final Score arrived after awarding the weightage scores on all the components.
