The application deadline for MBA admission 2023 at FMS Delhi closed on January 29, 2023. FMS Delhi, one of India's leading MBA colleges that accept high CAT scores, will release the shortlist for the final selection round soon. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, FMS Delhi has introduced several changes to the MBA admission process for 2023. FMS Delhi will shortlist approximately 2000 candidates who have taken the CAT 2022 exam for the final selection round.
FMS Delhi began accepting applications for MBA admission 2023 on December 30, 2022. The MBA (Full-Time), MBA Executive, and MBA Executive (Health Care Administration) Programmes (2023-25) will accept CAT 2022 scores for admission. Those who did not take the CAT 2022 exam will not be considered for admission to FMS Delhi in 2023.

Following changes are introduced in FMS Delhi MBA admission criteria and final selection process for 2023-25 batch

FMS Delhi MBA Fees 2023-25: Fee Increased – Check Key Trends
- The FMS Delhi MBA fees have seen a significant increase, with the two-year full-time course fee rising to Rs. 48,000/- per semester (Rs. 1.92 lakhs for two years) from the previous Rs. 25,000/- for two years. The FMS fees for the MBA 2023-25 batch are expected to increase further, as per FMS Delhi's announcement: "The semester fee is currently approximately Rs.50,000 for the MBA program, per each semester. Please note that the fees for various programs and reservation categories can be revised at any time before the commencement of or during the duration of the programs, as per instructions from the University of Delhi."
- The fee is payable at the beginning of the academic year, with students from the PWD category exempted from paying all fees except the Admission fee and Identity Card fee. After maintaining its MBA fee at Rs. 20,000 to 25,000 for the entire MBA program for several years, FMS Delhi has now raised its MBA fees to Rs. 1.92 lakhs.

FMS Delhi Admission Eligibility criteria 2023
Following are the salient points that determine FMS Delhi admission eligibility criteria
- The candidate must hold a bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration after class 12, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (in case of the candidate belonging to SC/ST only passing marks are required. In case of OBC/PwD and CW category candidates, 45% marks at graduation are required).
- Applicant must appear in CAT 2022 exam and must score minimum prescribed sectional and overall percentile to become eligible for next stage of shortlisting

FMS Delhi Shortlisting Criteria
FMS Delhi shortlisting criteria for final selection round aims to encourage diversity of Gender and Academic Disciplines. For the purpose of shortlisting candidates for Interview Process different weightages are assigned to the scores of different sections of the CAT 2022.
FMS Delhi will shortlist the candidates on the basis of sectional and overall CAT 2022 score, gender diversity and other criteria as under:
- The shortlisting for final selection round in FMS Admission Criteria awards 100% weight to CAT 2022 score
- In the shortlisting criteria, the candidate is awarded weightage to sectional percentile scores in CAT 2022. Score in Quantitative Ability (QA) section is awarded 30% weight; the Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR) section also carries a weight of 30% while the Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC) section carries highest weightage of 40%.
- An additional 5 marks are added to the Weighted score in case of women candidates for the purpose of shortlisting.
- This composite score is used only for shortlisting the candidates for Interview Process.
- All the Candidates shortlisted for final selection round have to attend GD-PI & Extempore, failing which they will be not be considered for the final admission
Final Admission Selection Round Criteria: In April 2023, Second Week
- All the shortlisted candidates must participate in Final selection round for admission to FMS Delhi
- PI Round for FMS admission 2023 may be held in physical or online mode depending upon the pandemic situation
- FMS Delhi selection criteria include Discussion on Statement of Purpose, Personal Interview and Extempore speech.
- The PI-Extempore round is held offline in physical mode
- The Merit list after final admission round is based on CAT 2022 score, performance in SoP Discussion/GD, PI, Extempore, Academic profile.
FMS Delhi Admission Weightages 2023 in Final Selection
FMS Delhi Admission Weightages in Final selection are based on following components in generation of final merit list:
- An additional 5 marks shall be awarded to the women candidates who appear for the interview while drawing the list of selected candidates
- Final Merit List of selected candidates would be released by FMS Delhi immediately after the last day of final selection round is over for all the candidates
- The candidates will be required to produce their original certificates and mark sheets at the time of the interview
- Applicants who have not taken CAT 2022 will not be considered for admission.
FMS Delhi Cut offs
The cut offs for FMS Delhi are determined by various factors. Generally, the cut off for the General Category is around 98%ile in the Common Admission Test (CAT). This is because 40% weightage is assigned to the Verbal and Reading Comprehension (VARC) section, 30% to Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR) and Quantitative Ability (QA) sections each. As such, even if someone has scored a high overall percentile in the CAT exam, but a low percentile in the VARC section, they may not be shortlisted, whereas those who have scored a comparatively lower overall CAT percentile but a high percentile in the VARC section may be preferred in the shortlisting process. Subsequently, the FMS Cut off 2023 might not be the same for all the shortlisted candidates. FMS will consider the CAT 2022 scores for shortlisting the candidates for the Personal Interview (PI) stage and assign the following weightage to the scores of the three sections in the CAT 2022:

For candidates who have applied to FMS, an additional 5 marks are added to the Composite Score so computed in case of women candidates for the purpose of shortlisting.

FMS Admission 2023: Step by Step Process
Following 4 steps are included in the FMS Delhi Admission process:
- Step 1: The candidate must have appeared and scored the minimum required sectional and overall percentile in CAT 2022 to be considered for first stage shortlisting process for admission at FMS Delhi. Candidates are short-listed for PI round from among the candidates who have a valid CAT-2022 score, who have applied to the programme and who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the programme of FMS Delhi.
- Step 2: Shortlisted Candidates have to attend PI and extempore round in final selection process in April 2023. FMS Delhi also expects a consistent and minimum performance in the different parameters of PI round.
- Step 3: After the PI round, admission offers are made by FMS Delhi to successful candidates. The final selection is based on performance in CAT, performance in PI round, academics among others. Category wise merit list will be generated based on Final Score
- Step 4: Final Admission Offer will be made to the candidates in April/May 2023 on the basis of composite Score arrived after awarding the weightage scores on all the components.
FMS Delhi MBA: Flagship Programme: The 2 years full time residential MBA programme at FMS Delhi is the flagship management course of the Faculty of Management, University of Delhi. The MBA degree after completion of the course is awarded by Delhi University.
