“When you’re losing motivation, just remember how amazing you’ll look in the white coat,” a magical sentence that Supriya Senapati believed in immensely.
Supriya has always been a studious child and when she didn’t crack NEET on the first attempt, she got a setback. “Life is not always rainbows and butterflies.” However, as soon as she got her result, she became more determined and more focused on her dream of becoming a doctor. She realized that she would focus completely on self-studies instead of joining any coaching institute. Also, she had notes from the last 2-years, which were enough to help her study. So, her journey to becoming a doctor started again after this setback.
For a state board student, understanding the NCERT was itself a challenge. During her drop year, when she finally decided to do self-study, Supriya came to know about the EduRev app. She had downloaded the app earlier and found it pretty useful but didn't use it much. But this time, she knew how to leverage the EduRev app as she had a clear strategy for preparing all on her own. Supriya quoted “The video lectures on EduRev are in a very sequential manner, where you have to set only daily targets and revise them regularly and consistently.”
The topic-based tests, according to Supriya, were very beneficial and provided a clear picture of her progress. She was adamant that extra effort must be made in order to consistently push the process. Additionally, she contended that as you gradually enter a system of positive feedback, success follows eventually. In her own words, Supriya accepted that sometimes we might make mistakes, but what’s important is to learn from those mistakes and make our way ahead.
Supriya loved using EduRev Discussion Forums, where she would ask the questions where she was stuck and also answer the questions of the chapters which she has already studied. In a way, EduRev Forums acted as an interesting way to revise the concepts while interacting with students like you from across the country.
And during these discussions, she made some amazing friends on EduRev, who would continuously help her with doubts and also appreciate her when she answered questions from others. EduRev forums offered a real-time environment of interaction with the students, just like a virtual classroom. She claimed that the group of people who are working hard gave her enthusiasm to move forward and work harder and harder.

In the year 2021, when the results of NEET UG were announced, Supriya was over the moon as she had scored 360/360 on her biology section and got an overall score of 664. Her eyes welled up as she wore the white lab coat for the first time in her college - SCB MEDICAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL CUTTACK which was like a dream come true for her.
She even answered a question in the EduRev Forums after joining her college and shared her story with other aspirants:
Supriya’s advice to aspirants: Stay consistent and keep trying. Exam success is not simple, but it is not impossible. Studies are influenced by a variety of elements, so stay focused and work hard to achieve your goals because this is a race and there will always be others who will overtake you.
