Google Selection Process for Freshers |
Google is a highly coveted product company for most graduates, but only a select few succeed in passing Google's rigorous recruitment process. The Google hiring process involves three primary stages.
To start the application process for a position at Google, you need to create a well-crafted resume or CV highlighting your relevant skills, experiences, and projects. The language used should be active and the font should be easy to read to make a good impression. You can apply for a job that interests you on the Google Careers website, and if your profile is screened positively, a recruiter will contact you. Google also recruits from specific colleges and universities in India, and the application process in such cases will be communicated by the respective institutions.
Telephonic Round
Face-to-face Rounds
The Google selection process includes a review phase, which takes place off-screen and lasts for a few weeks. This phase involves two important steps: the HR committee thoroughly reviews each candidate's profile to identify the best-suited individuals, and then a group of senior supporters make the final decision on whom to hire. In addition, a background check is conducted to verify the candidate's educational and employment status and to check for any criminal history. Once the candidate's details have been validated, they proceed with the on-boarding process, which is overseen by managers who explain the responsibilities and regulations that the candidate will need to follow after being hired.
1. Aptitude test
The educational requirements such as the graduation details and backlog history are checked before the test. An aptitude test is conducted as the first level of screening.
Google test pattern
The overall difficulty rate of the written test is between moderate to hard. Qualified candidates appear for the coding round.
2. Coding round
During the coding round, the emphasis is on analyzing problems and developing code for the given questions posed by the interviewer. The duration of this round is typically between 50 to 60 minutes. The coding test itself consists of three programming questions that pertain to algorithms and data structures.
3. Technical / HR interview
During the technical round of the Google selection process, candidates are asked specific technical questions related to the field. On the other hand, the HR interview is more focused on the candidate and their personal background. Candidates are encouraged to ask questions or clear any doubts they may have during the HR interview. To prepare for the interview, candidates can visit websites such as Google interview questions to get an idea of the frequently asked coding and HR interview questions in Google.
