The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts the IBPS PO Exam every year for recruiting Probationary Officers/ Management Trainees. Before aspirants apply for the exam, they should know the list of participating banks under IBPS and their number of vacancies available. In this article, we will discuss the list of participating banks in detail.
As per the IBPS Officials, a total of 11 banks will participate in fulfilling the vacancies of the IBPS PO posts for the year 2024. The number of participating banks has been reduced this year due to the merger of 10 Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) banks. The number of participating banks was 17 last year.
The Common Recruitment Process (CRP PO/MT-X) for Probationary Officers/ Management Trainees recruitment for 2024-25 will recruit a total of 5000 aspirants (General). The recruitment process will be a two-tier process- the preliminary exam and the main exam, followed by an interview.
The shortlisting and final selection of the candidates are based on the vacancies posted by the banks. Out of all the vacant seats, certain seats are reserved for candidates from SC/ST/OBC/PwD categories. The vacancies posted by the participating banks for IBPS PO 2024 are listed below:
The participating banks in North India include Delhi, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh & Haryana.
The Eastern & North-Eastern States Include Odisha, West Bengal, Bihar, and Jharkhand.
The participating banks in West & Central India include Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Goa.
The participating banks in South India include Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala.
