Summary

  • Cooking is done in every house.
  • Rich or poor, all people do cooking.
  • We use different types of utensils to cook food.
  • Some common utensils which are used every day are tawa, pressure cooker, kadahi, frying pan, saucepan, etc.
  • Utensils used in cooking are made up of different materials.
  • Some utensils are made up of stainless steel; some are made from brass, copper, aluminum, etc.
  • We use different methods to cook different kinds of food.
  • Some common methods of cooking are boiling, frying, baking, roasting, steaming, etc.
  • We have various types of fuels.
  • Different types of fuels are used for cooking in different houses.
  • Some examples of used fuels for cooking are LPG, PNG, electricity, coal, wood, dung cakes, etc.
  • There are two kinds of food which we eat: cooked food and uncooked food.
  • Cooked food includes food which is fried, boiled, roasted, etc.
  • Some cooked foods are vegetables, chicken, rice, etc.
  • Uncooked food is that which is eaten in raw form.
  • Some uncooked foods are salads, sandwiches, chutney, etc.
  • Uncooked food is eaten as it is.

Make and Eat

  • There is a quick and very tasty recipe.
  • Soak entire moong seeds in water overnight.
  • Wrap the moistened moong with a wet cloth and cover it in the morning.
  • Take it out after a day. 
  • To make it more delicious you can add a few more things.
  • Mix in the cut onions, tomatoes, salt, and lemon juice with the moong.
  • Now eat it and also share it with your friends.
