Summary 

In the poem "The Ant Explorer," a little sugar ant decides to go on an adventure. It had finished its breakfast and got permission from its mom to explore. The ant sets out on a journey, going up and down a fern frond, around a stone, and through a gloomy gully. It even climbs a big mountain that's only seven inches high and goes through a scary forest of tall grass. After all these adventures, it reaches a huge, dry, and trackless desert.

In the desert, the ant feels tired and wishes it were back home in bed. So, it turns around and retraces its steps, going back through the forest, over the mountain, through the gully, around the stone, and down the fern frond. The little ant is exhausted, and finally, it makes its way back home.
