The Invention of Shoes Summary Class 5 English Gul Mohar

Summary

In the story "The Invention of Shoes," we meet King Hobu, who is worried about his royal feet getting dirty from the dust whenever he steps on the ground. His minister, Gobu Rai, tries to find a solution with the help of scientists and scholars. They attempt to get rid of the dust by using brooms and water, but these efforts make things worse. The kingdom becomes covered in dust and mud, causing problems for everyone.

People suffer, and the king's subjects sneeze and cough because of the dust and mud. Despite their best efforts, they can't figure out how to get rid of the dust. They even consider covering the entire earth with mats, but that's not practical.

Finally, an old tanner comes up with a simple and effective solution. He makes a pair of shoes for the king, which keeps his feet clean. The king is happy with the shoes, and the earth is saved from further troubles. Everyone learns that sometimes a straightforward idea can be more useful than complicated ones.
