Mauryan Period:

Haryana under Mauryans (324-232 BC):

• Archaeological findings in Kurukshetra indicate Haryana's inclusion in the Mauryan Empire.

• He expanded his influence by defeating Dhanananda, the ruler of the Nanda dynasty.

Decline of Mauryan Empire:
