Irrigation

Power

  • The district's power supply comes from the Tungabhadra and Hampi Hydro Electric Power Stations.
  • The Srisailam Hydro-Electric Power Project, built near the Srisailam Temple on the Krishna River, cost Rs. 433 crores. It consists of seven hydro generators, each with a capacity of 110 MW. In 2016-17, it produced 207.7 million KWH of electricity.
