Steve lay in the hospital bed crying. The television on the wall showed an IPL match in progress. Steve should have been playing it but for his fractured arm. It so happened that ......

...just a week ago, Steve was at the peak of his career, ready to lead his team in the season's biggest match. Known for his exceptional batting, he was the star player everyone was counting on. However, during a routine practice session, a misjudged fast ball from a rookie bowler hit him squarely on the arm. The pain was immediate and intense, signaling something far worse than just a bruise.

In the hospital now, surrounded by the sterile white walls, Steve felt a torrent of emotions. His tears were not just from the physical pain, but from the shattered dreams of leading his team to victory. As he watched his teammates play without him, each cheer from the crowd was a sharp reminder of what he was missing.

His best friend and team vice-captain, Raj, walked into the room just then, his face a mix of concern and forced cheerfulness. "Hey Steve, watching the game? They're holding up pretty well, aren't they?"

Steve wiped his eyes and managed a weak smile. "Yeah, they are. I just wish I could be there with them."

"I know, man. It's tough. But you being here, healthy and getting better, is important too. We need you back on your feet for the finals!"

The conversation turned to the match, and slowly, Steve felt a bit of the weight lift from his shoulders. Raj narrated play-by-play actions, making Steve laugh with his exaggerated commentary. For a moment, the hospital room felt less confining.

As the match continued, Steve began to see his situation in a new light. This setback was temporary, and his resolve hardened. "Next year," he thought, "I'll be out there again, stronger and better than ever."

By the time the match ended, Steve was no longer crying. He was planning his comeback.
