Types of Triangles

There are four different types of triangles. Each one has three sides and is a polygon.

  • Equilateral Triangles: An equilateral triangle has three sides that are all of equal length and three angles that each measure 60 degrees.
  • Isosceles Triangles: An isosceles triangle has two sides that are of equal length and two angles that are equal.
  • Right-angled Triangles: In a right-angled triangle, one of the angles measures 90 degrees.
  • Scalene Triangles: Scalene triangles have no sides that are equal in length and no angles that are equal.
