Example 1: We can also use a number line to plot thousandths.

1 hundredth = 10 thousandths, so these increments represent the thousandths.
0.758 is eight thousandths more than 0.75.
0.75 + 0.008 = 0.758
0.758 is two thousandths less than 0.76.
0.76 - 0.002 = 0.758
