FAQs on Infographics: Light, Sound and Force

1. What are the differences between light and sound?
Ans.Light is a form of energy that travels in waves and can be seen by the human eye, while sound is a form of energy that travels through air (or other mediums) in waves and is heard by the human ear. Light travels faster than sound and does not require a medium to propagate, whereas sound needs a medium to travel.
2. How do we see light?
Ans.We see light when it enters our eyes and is focused onto the retina. The retina contains special cells that convert light into electrical signals, which are sent to the brain and interpreted as images.
3. What is force and how does it affect motion?
Ans.Force is a push or pull that can cause an object to start moving, stop moving, or change direction. The greater the force applied to an object, the greater the change in its motion. Force is measured in newtons (N).
4. Can sound travel through space?
Ans.No, sound cannot travel through space because there is no air or medium in space for sound waves to travel through. Sound requires a medium, like air, water, or solids, to carry the vibrations.
5. What are some examples of forces in our daily lives?
Ans.Some examples of forces in daily life include gravity (pulling objects toward the Earth), friction (resisting motion between surfaces), and tension (pulling force in ropes or strings). These forces affect how we move and interact with objects around us.
