Introduction

Paint Tools
- Line Tool: Draws straight lines with different thicknesses and colors.
- Curve Tool: Creates curved lines with various thicknesses and colors.
- Oval Tool: Draws ovals and circles.
- Rectangle Tool: Creates rectangles and squares.
- Triangle Tool: Draws triangles.
- Fill with Colour: Fills closed shapes with color.
Drawing Different Shapes
- Select a shape tool from the 'Shapes' group in the Paint window.

- Click and drag the mouse in the Drawing Area to create the shape.

- Change the outline style using the Outline option in the 'Shapes' group.
- Choose 'No outline' if no border is needed.
- Adjust line thickness using the Size option.

- Select Colour 1 to change the outline color.
- Select Colour 2 to fill the shape with color.

- Choose 'No fill' from the Fill option if no color fill is desired.

Drawing Callout Shapes
In Paint, callout shapes include Rounded Rectangular, Oval, and Cloud callouts, which function as speech balloons for adding text, commonly used in stories and comics. Follow these steps to create callout shapes in Paint:
- Select a callout shape from the Shapes group.
- Click and hold the left mouse button, then drag the cursor in the Drawing Area.
- Draw the chosen callout shape.
- To fill the callout with color, choose the Fill with Color option from the Tools group and click inside the shape.
- To add text, select the Text tool from the Tools group, click inside the callout, and type your text in the Text Box

Using Colour Picker Tool
- Draw a triangle using the Triangle tool.
- Fill the triangle with color using the Fill with Colour tool.
- Draw a square next to the triangle using the Rectangle tool.

- Select the Colour Picker tool.
- Click inside the triangle to copy its color.
- Click inside the square to apply the same color.

Making Changes in an Image
- Select an image to edit it (move, copy, delete, rotate, crop, or resize).
Selecting an Image
- Use the Select tool in the 'Image' group of the 'Home' tab.
- Choose from two selection tools: Rectangular selection and Free-form selection.

Using Rectangular Selection Tool
- Draw a hut in the Drawing Area.
- Select the Rectangular selection tool from the Select tool menu.
- Place the mouse pointer outside the hut.
- Click and drag the mouse around the hut's boundary.
- Release the mouse button to select the hut.

Using Free-form Selection Tool
- Draw a hut in the Drawing Area.
- Select the Free-form selection tool from the Select tool menu.
- Place the mouse pointer outside the hut.
- Click and drag the mouse around the hut's boundary in any shape.
- Release the mouse button to select the hut.

Moving an Object
- Select the image or part of it using a Selection tool.

- Click the Cut option in the 'Clipboard' group of the 'Home' tab.

- The selected image disappears from the Drawing Area.

- Click the Paste option in the 'Clipboard' group.

- The image reappears at the top left corner of the Drawing Area.

- Drag the image to the desired location.
Copying and Pasting an Image
- Select the image or part of it using a Selection tool.

- Click the Copy button in the 'Clipboard' group of the 'Home' tab.

- Click the Paste option in the 'Clipboard' group.

- The copied image appears at the top left corner of the Paint window.

- Drag the pasted image to the desired location.
Rotating and Flipping an Image
Flipping an image means rotating it horizontally or vertically. To flip a selected image, follow these steps:
- Use the Selection tool to choose the image you want to flip.

- Click the Rotate option in the Image group under the Home tab.

- Pick the desired rotation or flip option from the list, and the effect will be applied.

Resizing and Skewing an Image
- Select the image using a Selection tool.
- Click the Resize option in the 'Image' group of the 'Home' tab.
- In the 'Resize and Skew' dialog box, enter percentage values for resizing or degrees for skewing.

- Click OK to apply the changes.

Zooming an Image
- Draw an image in Paint.

- Click Zoom in on the 'View' tab to increase the display size.

- Click Zoom out on the 'View' tab to decrease the display size.

- Bitmap (BMP): Large, uncompressed files with rich colors and high quality.
- JPEG: Popular for web use, ideal for colorful photographs.
- GIF: Smaller compressed format, popular for web images.
- TIFF: Widely used in graphic design, publishing, and photography, supported by many programs.
- PNG: Designed for the web, default format for Paint files.
- Click the File tab and select Save, or use the Save icon on the Quick Access Toolbar.

- In the 'Save As' dialog box, choose the save location.
- Enter the file name in the 'File name' box.
- Click the 'Save as type' drop-down and select a file format (BMP, JPEG, GIF, TIFF, or PNG).

- Click the Save button.
