Step-by-step registration process

• Visit the official portal - go to neet.nta.nic.in or exams.nta.ac.in/NEET. Use a modern browser and a stable internet connection.
• New Registration - click New Registration and enter your name, date of birth, email ID, and mobile number exactly as they appear on your Class 10 certificate and other official documents.
• Application number and password - a system-generated Application Number and Password will be sent to your registered email and mobile. Save these securely; you will need them to log in and for all future correspondence.
• Part 1: Personal details - log in and fill personal details: name, date of birth, gender, category, nationality, and mother tongue. Ensure spellings and dates match supporting documents.
• Part 2: Contact details - enter your full postal address, state, and PIN code. Provide an address where you can reliably receive postal correspondence.
• Part 3: Educational details - fill Class 12 (or equivalent) board, year of passing or appearing, and roll number. If you are appearing in the current year, use the 'appearing' option where applicable.
• Upload documents - upload a recent photograph, scanned signature, and thumb impression according to the specifications given below. Follow format and size limits exactly to avoid rejection.
• Exam centre preferences - select up to four exam centre cities in order of preference. Pick locations you can reasonably reach on exam day.
• Language of question paper - choose the language carefully; the language choice cannot be changed after submission in most cases.

Signature specifications

• Ink and paper - sign with black ink on plain white paper only.
• File format and size - JPG / JPEG; file size between 4 KB and 30 KB.
• Style - signature must be your regular signature and should not be in capital letters; it should fit within the framed area when scanned.

Thumb impression

• Impression - provide clear left and right thumb impressions on plain white paper using blue ink (use whichever thumb is specified or both if requested).
• File format and size - JPG / JPEG; file size between 10 KB and 200 KB.
