Note: Processing charges and GST are additional, as applicable. The final amount debited may vary slightly from the figures above because payment gateway/service fees and currency conversion charges (for payments from outside India) are added at the time of payment.

Best practices for payment

• Avoid paying on the last day - server load is extremely high in the final 48 hours and transactions may fail or be slow.
• Use a stable and secure internet connection - payment failures on slow or intermittent connections are common.
• If your payment is debited but the registration is not immediately confirmed, wait 24 hours before raising a complaint - most payments are reconciled automatically within this period.
• Take a screenshot of the payment success page (showing transaction ID, amount, date/time and merchant) before closing the browser window.
• Download and save the confirmation page or e-receipt from the application portal only after payment is shown as successful - partial or incomplete applications will not be accepted.
• Keep a copy of the bank/credit card statement or the UPI/transaction SMS that shows the debit; this will be required if you need to verify the payment with the authority or bank.
• Prefer using cards or payment methods familiar to you to reduce the chance of gateway authentication issues (for example, 3D Secure prompts on some credit cards).
• If the payment gateway prompts for additional authentication (OTP/3D Secure), complete it before closing the window; failing to do so may lead to payment being declined.

Is the fee refundable?

• The application fee is non-refundable in all cases.
• The fee will not be refunded even if an application is rejected due to incorrect or incomplete documents.
• If you change category during the process and a fee difference arises, that difference is not refundable.

What to do if you face payment issues

• Do not make repeated payments from different modes unless you are instructed to do so by the authorised helpdesk.
• Save the payment transaction details: transaction ID, UTR/authorization code, bank reference number, date and time, and a screenshot of any failure or success message.
• Check the application portal after 24 hours to see if the payment has been reconciled and the application status updated.
• If the payment remains unconfirmed after 24 hours, contact the examination authority/helpdesk through the official portal or email and provide the transaction proof and your application details for reconciliation.
• Also consult your bank or payment service provider to confirm the transaction status and obtain any transaction reference the bank issues.

Summary: Note the applicable category fee before beginning the application, choose a reliable payment method, keep transaction evidence (screenshot, transaction ID, bank statement), download the confirmation page only after successful payment, and allow up to 24 hours for automatic reconciliation before contacting the helpdesk.
