You've learned how AI tools can help you practice interviews in a realistic way. Now you'll use an AI-powered chatbot or interview simulation tool to run through a complete interview from start to finish, adjusting your approach based on feedback and observations. This assignment will help you experience what it's like to prepare for a real job interview using AI as your practice partner.

Scenario

You are preparing for an interview for a marketing coordinator position at a mid-sized company. The role involves managing social media campaigns, coordinating with design teams, and analyzing campaign performance. You want to practice answering common interview questions, get feedback on your responses, and refine your answers before the actual interview next week. You'll use an AI tool to simulate the interview experience.

Tasks

Task 1: Set Up Your Interview Simulation 

Open an AI chatbot tool such as ChatGPT, Claude, or a dedicated AI interview practice platform. Set up a simulated interview session for the marketing coordinator position. Ask the AI to act as the interviewer and conduct a job interview with you. Start the conversation and respond to the first question the AI asks you.

Task 2: Answer Three Core Interview Questions 

Continue the interview simulation by answering the next three questions the AI interviewer asks you. Type out your full responses as if you were speaking in a real interview. Do not skip or summarize-answer each question completely.

Task 3: Request Feedback and Compare

After completing your answers to the three questions, ask the AI to provide detailed feedback on your responses. Review the feedback carefully. Then, pick one of the three answers and rewrite it based on the suggestions you received. Observe how your revised answer differs from your original response in tone, structure, or content.

Task 4: Simulate a Behavioral Question Round 

Ask the AI to continue the interview with two behavioral questions related to the marketing coordinator role. Answer both questions using specific examples from your past experience, studies, or projects. After you finish, ask the AI to evaluate whether your answers followed a clear structure and included enough detail. Notice what the AI points out about how you framed your examples.

Task 5: Conduct a Complete Mock Interview from Start to Finish 

Start a fresh interview simulation session with the AI. This time, go through an entire interview for the same marketing coordinator role-from introduction to closing questions-without stopping for feedback in between. Answer at least six to eight questions, including a mix of general, role-specific, and behavioral questions. Only after the interview is complete, ask the AI for a comprehensive evaluation of your overall performance, including strengths and areas to improve.

Task 6: Reflect on Your Progress 

Write a short reflection of four to five sentences. Think about how your approach to answering questions changed from Task 1 to Task 5. Consider what you learned about structuring answers, using examples, and responding confidently. Describe one specific way you would adjust your strategy if you were to do another mock interview tomorrow.
