Coal, oil and natural gas are non-renewable resources. As they cannot by replenished in a short span of time. They require many years to decompose decayed plants and animals.

Air, wind and soil all are natural resources. These resources are renewable, as they can be replenished naturally.

Water is useful for generation of hydroelectricity. Energy of water is used to turn turbines and generator and produce electricity.

Thermal is related to heat. Thermal energy is energy produced by the heat of the system.

Example of non-renewable resources are petroleum and fossil fuels. As these were formed millions of years ago by the decomposition of decayed plants and animals under high pressure and temperature.

Methane gas is the main constituent of Biogas. Peels of fruits and vegetables are biodegradable as they can be decomposed easily. Plastic (synthetic material) cannot be decomposed. Hence it is non-biodegradable.

Crude Oil is a nonrenewable resource. It is only nonrenewable resource which is extracted in liquid form. It is extracted by drilling, as it is found between the layers of Earth’s crust or rocks.

Greenhouse effect is the major cause of global warming. As these gases trap the heat in the atmosphere causing the temperature to rise.
