Ozone hole is found in stratosphere layer over Antarctica. Ozone hole means depletion of ozone layer in the stratosphere. It allows the harmful rays of the Sun to reach the Earth, thereby, causing serious health issues.

Acid rain is caused when sulphur dioxide (SO₂) and nitrogen oxides (NOx) are emitted into the atmosphere and transported by wind and air.

The theme of the World Ocean Day 2017 was “Our oceans, Our future”. It is celebrated on 8th June every year.

Biotic and abiotic resources are differentiated on the basis of their derivations. Examples of Biotic resources- birds, animals, micro-organisms, etc. Examples of Abiotic resources- water, air, soil, etc.

The main cause of global change is increase in content of carbondioxide in the atmosphere because of the burning of fossil fuels like coal, oil, etc.

Weather conditions are characterised by Altitude or height above sea level. As we go towards higher altitudes the temperature drops and atmosphere becomes thin.
