A cone is a three-dimensional solid that has a circular base joined to a single point (called the vertex) by a curved side. You could also think of a cone as a “circular pyramid”.

A triangle is a three-sided polygon (2d Shape) which has three edges and three vertices. The sum of all the three angles of a triangle is equal to 180°.

A cylinder is a three dimensional object with a circular base and straight parallel sides that looks similar to a can of coke.

Both a cylinder and a sphere will roll since they both contain a curved face. Spheres will roll in every direction, however, the cylinder will only roll in one direction when placed on its side.

In geometry, a closed shape can be defined as a enclosed shape or figure whose line segments and/or curves are connected or meet. They start and end at the same point.

A rectangle has 2 pairs of parallel sides, 2 pairs of equal sides and 4 right angles. 

A square box is a solid figure in which all six faces are rectangles with three pairs of parallel congruent opposite faces.

An edge is the line segment where two faces meet. You can see by looking at this cube that the faces intersect in a line. Many solid figures have more than one edge. A vertex is a point where several planes meet in a point.

Three-dimensional geomentric figures are called solids. 

A cylinder is a solid figure with two parallel congruent circular bases.

A circle is a plane closed figure enclosed by a curve, having no sides and no corner (vertex). Every point in the curve is situated at equal distance from a definite point within the closed figure.

A rectangular pyramid has 5 faces, 8 edges and 5 vertices.

A cube has 6 faces, 8 vertices, and 12 edges.

Similarly, a rectangular prism also has the same features. 

 All have four sides and four vertices; the square and rectangle have two pairs of parallel sides and four right angles; the rectangle and kite have two pairs of equal length sides.

A polygon is a 2 dimensional shape made up of straight line segments which are connected with each other, thus giving it a closed shape. A circle, square, rectangle, and triangle are some examples of two-dimensional shapes and these shapes can be drawn on paper.

A polyhedron is regular if its faces are congruent regular polygons and the same number of faces meet at each vertex. For example, a cube is a platonic solid because all six of its faces are congruent squares. There are five such solids– tetrahedron, cube, octahedron, dodecahedron and icosahedron.

A polygon is a closed figure on a plane bounded by (straight) line segments as its sides. Where the two sides of a polygon intersect is called a vertex of the polygon.

The vertex of an angle is the point where two rays begin or meet, where two line segments join or meet, where two lines intersect (cross), or any appropriate combination of rays, segments and lines that result in two straight "sides" meeting at one place.

A cube or a cuboid is a three dimensional shape that has 12 edges, 8 corners or vertices, and 6 faces.

A pyramid is a solid whose base is a plane rectilinear figure whose side faces are triangles having a common vertex, called the vertex of the pyramid.
