in the 1940s a Walter White he had an
appropriate last name because he saw
white skin east attend cover lynchings
he was black head of the NAACP and Lena
Horne tried to get Hollywood to reform
they went out there yes and they were
wine and dine and nothing happened and
as a matter of fact had a McDaniel whom
I admire is them because she took that
script internal all the way around
mm-hmm Gone with the Wind called for a
passive you know shuffling made and
zanuck couldn't handle her she just took
it over took it over took it over
created a party yeah absolutely
except that you those people were
against their moves because you know
they felt that Walter White and Lena
Horne some of the others were depriving
them of their livelihood
things have not changed since then you
get the same stereotypes that you not
only an ally admit and movies but on
television what did you make of the
whole Bill Cosby controversy well I'm
one of these old get old fashioned all
too old-fashioned guys who believe in
the due process
Yeah right and I don't think I think
that even even with his flaws I think
that the the courts are capable of
inviting someone instead of comedians we
have it now where people on late-night
television but wants to try and judge
the convict it could happen to anybody
set the cultural norm absolutely
absolutely so and you know as a
disclaimer he's been a supporter of mine
as a matter of fact he is or he is an
avid patron of the Arts
