Working with Standard Parts in BricsCAD Video Lecture | An Ultimate Guide: BricsCAD:3D Modelling - 3D & Animation

The BricsCAD software contains a rich library of standard parts, in fact more than 30,000 of them.
In this short movie we will show you how these parts can be used
To access the library select the corresponding tab in the Mechanical Browser window.
Here you can search for a specific part.
Once you have selected a specific part you can see the preview and set the size and length of the part you want to insert.
Insert the part by dragging it to a desired position using snapping and dynamic dimensions
The inserted standard part is listed in the model tab of the Mechanical Browser.
You can easily modify inserted standard parts.
To do this you have to dissolve the component to deal directly with its 3D solid geometry.
For example, you can perforate this part.
The modified part is now converted back to a mechanical component of your model.
Use 3D constraints to position components.
To stiffen your construction you can add a couple of stiffener angles or gussets.
Form a component representing one leg of your chassis.
Continue to use standard rectangular tubes and position them with 3D constraints.
Your chassis is now ready. Let's install some equipment on it.
To attach the equipment on the chassis you can use standard bolts and nuts.
All standard and non-standard components used in your model are listed in the Mechanical Browser.
If needed you can create standard views of your model and generate the bill of materials.
