the shell tool allows you to hollow out
a solid object when shelling an object
you can elect to have one of the faces
removed
a common use of the shell tool is to
create a mold this can be done by either
leaving one of the faces open or
splitting the object into
the slice tool allows you to slice an
object into two parts this is done by
first selecting the object with the
slice tool then picking two points to
draw a line through the object the slice
goes through the object as if the line
drawn had created a plane perpendicular
to the current view
slicing a shelled object can give you
two sides of a mod
