run those few verticals we've got a few
vertical dimensions in here so let's see
let's go to vertical which is this one
right here
and we will go to this endpoint okay
it's not considered good practice to
dimension off of a hidden line so we're
going to go to the view that shows the
real line then we make a doubt about
right there there's a reason why I'm
going so far out okay we do the next one
where we go back to the endpoints we go
to this one and now we free position now
let's do a fixed position I'm gonna line
it up to that other one so now we have
all the vertical dimensions we've got a
couple of radiuses to do so we go back
to our dimension menu there is one is
called radius let's try this diet
diameter one select an arc or circle and
so we will set select this one
free positioning
and that shows the diameter very good
problem is that's right on top of those
those center lines so I don't really
like it so we're not going to use that
one that's the problem with dimensioning
it's a lot about looks so now we're
going to try the other one and I'm not
going to like it either
and that shows the radius again it's
right on top of some of the stuff so I
don't like it so we're not going to use
it so now we're stuck we're going to
have to hand do this so I'm going to use
the leader says do the target point so
we're going to try to get right on that
circle we go up whatever angle looks
good to us and now once you lock it
horizontally and we have created a
leader run to another leader
for this circle
and I just goofed up because I had it
locked horizontally so we're going to
unlock the horizontal unlock okay
and now we're II lock it horizontal and
we'll make it kind of line up with them
one above it make it look a little
prettier okay we now have our two
leaders we want to add some text so here
on the main menu there's this one called
insert text and our radius on this top
big circle is 0.82 it just so happens I
typed it before I'm going to have my
height at point one two five because
it's the same as my other text and we
now unlock the Whorton fix horizontal
thing well I made a free position and
I'm gonna say that looks pretty good I'm
gonna go ahead and use the same text
right here but we're going to modify it
and so it shows you a new function as
well as okay that is the wrong answer so
what I am going to do is go modify and
there is this thing here that says
modify text edit text that one over
there the one of the thing it looks like
a text is an explode function we're
going to deal with explode but not not
with text so we go to edit text type it
in
I'll leave the same thing what this says
is point eight four three eight green
and what a ream operation is is a they
use a special tool that makes it very
smooth inside very precise and what that
does is that if this was holding a shaft
that would hold the shaft so it doesn't
wiggle alright we have pretty well got
this drawing where I'm going to
zooom for me is this function yes
zoom ful we've pretty much got destroyed
and there's a few things that I don't
like about it and that is that these
lines are crossing over the the object
and that's going to make it very
confusing for somebody looking at this
thing and we didn't have a lot of choice
but to create that but now we're going
to have to modify it so first I will
show you we'll go to the modify function
and we're going to do well let me first
show you what would happen say that up
I want to modify part of this we're
temporarily go ahead delete but when I
going to take it all the way you see it
selects the whole thing we don't want to
select the whole thing we're wanting to
modify it so we go to the deselect all
thing we're wanting to modify so the
first thing we're going to do is explode
that that is basically a block we
haven't got two blocks yet we're going
to have to explode it so it then becomes
just separate entities lines and text
and so on and so forth so we're going to
go to edit and we're gonna go to this
explode function right here we're going
to explode the three that are bothering
me so we explode those three and we hit
a continued action and they're now
exploded although we really can't tell
it and now at this point I am going to
create a couple of bogus lines so I'm
going to go to my bogus menu create a
horizontal line and we will go to this
point right here endpoint to that
endpoint of the dimension
and we're going to go and create a
horizontal or vertical line again we
stay at endpoint and we're going to go
to this endpoint okay we're going to
trim so we go to the modify menu trim we
select this we're going to trim trim and
then we select this one we trim and I
got a problem I've trimmed it the
problem is those two lines on top of
each other there I got to go back and
explode another one okay now we'll go
back to trim and everything should be
trimmed yes
okay we'll delete our two bogus lines
and continued action and they're gone
and so now I'm happy the drawings happy
we're all happy right well seventy
minutes I'm into this thing I'm nineteen
minutes so we will come back and do on
episode number five will do print
because it's getting to be a long video
okay we will save the drawing but we
will save as so we'll go up here to edit
our file
we'll save as I'm going to call this
part four I should have done that
earlier but I didn't save I just gonna
say you already got one and I'm gonna
say yeah replace it and we are done with
