if you aren't already using lead magnets
to build your email list you definitely
should be it's one of the best ways to
increase conversion rates for capturing
emails once they come to your site or
your blog article or even a guest post
that you've provided now a lead magnet
can also be referred to as a bribe don't
really like that term but a bribe a lead
magnet a Content upgrade but whatever
you call it basically it's an additional
free piece of content that you give to
someone in exchange for their email so
often they've already come to your site
or a post that you've made or somewhere
where you have an online presence they
are usually already getting some content
from you for free and now you're
offering this additional piece in
exchange for their email so they sign up
and then they get as a download or it's
sent to them or they get access to a
free course now this dramatically
increases your conversion rates for
capturing those email addresses if you
just ask someone to subscribe to your
blog or grab an email address you might
be lucky with one percent two percent
six percent ten percent conversion to
email addresses but when you start
giving away a lead magnet something
additional of value for free you're
going to drive that up to twenty thirty
percent and we've seen examples up in
the 50 and 60 plus percent conversion
rate to grab those email addresses so
you could easily double triple or more
the size of your email list by offering
lead magnets and i would suggest any
time you're putting content out there
anytime you're educating people you're
putting out a video you're putting out a
blog post to include a lead magnet as an
additional way to capture email
addresses and you can even do this if
you're doing guest posts on other
people's sites now some of the things
you can include as lead magnets would be
PDFs ebooks quick short lists are really
work exceptionally well how to guides
things like this things that are showing
people how to do something generally it
works if they're fairly succinct but
I've seen people do well with some very
large
lead magnets as well and there's a
number of ways to deliver them you can
actually use think if it to deliver your
lead magnet so you could just drop your
PDF or ebook or video series or a single
free video into essentially I think if
it course and use that as a lead magnet
to give away and if you want to be able
to embed it in other places even on
guest blog posts you can use the sales
widget so you can hop in and very very
quickly in a few seconds create a little
button that links to the ability to grab
that lead magnet no matter where people
are and I would really encourage you to
take advantage of this and any time
you're out there sharing your valuable
expertise throw in a lead magnet and
watch how fast you'll capture additional
email addresses and then of course you
can turn those into clients or business
