Testing the New Wolf0 HODL Miner for Aes-Ni CPUs Video Lecture | CPU Mining: Basics to Expert - Cryptocurrency

hello guys it's Lee here welcome to a
brand new video in today's video I'm
gonna be sharing with you a new
optimized hood on Winer which is
recently being released by a wolf
zero I show you one already and that was
an optimized for CPUs with the AES
instruction set and this one is based
upon that one it's a new revised version
and it's good for CPUs with the AES - in
our instruction set so if you've got a
CPU that's up to just a couple of years
old
anything from sort of around 2010
onwards this minor will be a better
option for you and there is that other
modern parts that are available but this
is a new one so I'm gonna show you that
actual process so what going to do is
I'm just going to remotely log into a
machine that actually it has a CPU they
let's get started on that the actual CPU
in that is a AMD a10 7700 K and that's
overclocked to free point a gigahertz I
have had it runnin at 4 but recently
I've just slowed it down just a little
bit I'm just for some stability issues
it's getting rather hot in that actual
workspace so yeah I'm gonna work login
and then I will share this with you
okay so I've just logged in I'm just
gonna close some of these other things
that are going on in the background
we've got the MSI Afterburner we've got
the f1 I will close out and then we've
got the black o burst coin minor so he
could close that as well
I've already give the the application a
quick run free and just got a brief sort
of look at it but I'll share it now so
if we go to the huddle folder which is
where I downloaded and save the actual
binary files to you have to show you
guys and there is just like a little bit
of lag between because I'm using a
remote login via TeamViewer okay so in
the huddle folder itself we've got all
the old stuff what I'll do is just for a
comparison we've got these hot of mana
here let's actually run it check the
batch file first
okay yes I've got a hot or minor and in
the pool and then the work details and
at the end this is kind of with the
regular batch files you probably won't
actually have this I've added this extra
and so it's just this is basically a
switch so it's - tea and then it's free
so what it's instructing is that just to
use free CPU fred's and by default that
would be removed and then it will just
use all threads what I'm actually going
to do is just going to change that to
four and hopefully the machine doesn't
lock up I think I was running it before
with free fred's
and just because we're I'm remoted in
and I don't want the machine to lock up
basically because it means I'll have to
pop down the road and check it out but
anyway so let's try the actual old wolf
Sarah miner first and see how that
compares
so we're running on four frets and let's
just wait for that to get going okay so
we're just coming up now onto the earth
there is there that's the attempt
accepted chair
so the actual hash rate is being between
55 and 65 mostly so if we just call it
60 hashes per second that would be a
fairly good average there so that's with
the old my not running on four frets so
I'm just gonna close that now and let's
try the new one and see how that
compares so in this one you'll see
there's a whole bunch of like different
binaries and so the standard one is the
hata minor that should be good for
pretty much anyone regardless of what
CPU you've got then you've got these
other hot or minor this be Deever one
bitty virtu and free these are these are
optimized binaries for anyone with an
AMD bulldozer chip so I'll show you how
to edit your config file in a minute but
if you've got a bulldozer CPU you might
want to trial at each of these different
ones to see which one gives the best
performance I tried it with and I don't
actually have a bulldozer CPU but I
tried running through them and I think
the third one was the best one from my
particular chip which is like say an AMD
a10 7700 okay if you're on Intel you've
got these other ones which are obviously
more clearly to identify so you've got
as well Sandy Bridge and silver one and
West BSO just use whichever binary is
the most one that is relevant for you or
test that the other ones you might you
know might find that they're better
optimize for you so then what you want
to do is scroll down a little bit you
can see I've done some previous testing
just go to the pool - start platform we
go in edit and then we've got whole my
nerdy XC so without the hood and why not
exe is just change that to you know
whatever binary that you actually want
to use so the actual
exe so hot a minor - for example
Beadie ver free you know you just
changed and say that and then run that
as it was I'm just going to use the
standard one at first and I might check
the other ones as well so just changing
on the end as well for for Fritz and all
the other details are the same so they
should save that and it will give that a
quick run-through and see a compares
okay so we're coming up now on the
attempt accepted share you see no one
nine and ten will come through just in a
moment
all of the actual hash rates per shares
they've all been above sixty most of
them have been around the sort of 65
sort mark so I'd say yeah probably about
65 hashes per second for this particular
sort of minor so that looks about to be
about 10% faster than the previous one
between 5 and 10% sort of faster that
last hash come through quite quick there
the other ones were all a bit more of
more of an average more than 65 sort of
range and so what I'm going to do as
well is I'll just test the other this be
Deever free which is one lightest Adhan
free Fred's previously and I think that
was giving me the breast best results so
let's try that as well and let me just
let one more che go through cuz that one
just come through it almost 80 another
170 yeah so maybe just a little bit
touch faster obviously the longer you
leave it running you're going to get a
better average and you can use that for
your actual judgment okay okay so that's
had plenty of time to run now just
popped out for a sec there so yeah
between 65 and sometimes up to over and
above 70 as well say that's a pretty
good sort of them standard there so
let's close that and we'll try the the
bulldozer version free version sa or
just double check let's change that to
you
Edie were free and we'll just save that
okay so let's try out the version number
free now and see how that compares
okay so this version has been running
for a couple of minutes now we've just
gone over 10 shares 11 12 13 14 15
actually and so throughout that sort of
a period of time the hash rate has been
just under about 70 sometimes going on a
little bit over it's just slow down a
little bit there but um it started off
here sort of 67 s and 70s and now it's
just slow down a little bit for some
reason so I think this one is actually
just like a verge a faster version um I
have to leave it running for you know at
least 30 minutes or so somewhere to get
a much better charge of exactly how it
performs over over a longer term and I
would recommend that you do that as well
so yeah that's it of this particular
video guys I just wanted to share this
particular new version miner with you
and how it forms and you know the
results that you can kind of expect as
