Identify Any Steam Profile Background Video Lecture | Steam Tutorial: A Beginner's Guide - Game Development

hey guys have been here and today I'm
going to be showing you how to identify
any steam profile background so with
help from this guide by a curse broken
and a fella I'm going to be showing you
how to identify any steam background so
you can stop asking me or whoever you're
bothering what background they're using
for their profile so I'm going to go
through three methods how to do it the
quickest way how to do it in the browser
and how to do an internal Steam client
so first up we're going to do the
quickest method which is going to this
site the link will be at the top of the
description for you to check out and so
basically what we do is we find their
steam ID so I've got my friend here
people-eater and so his ID is literally
ppl eater so I'm going to copy it and
I'm going to paste it into here
and then click lookup and it will load
up with the background so this is state
closed that's the game it belongs to so
I'm going to click via wallpaper and
then we're going to find it so it's
churning and then we can buy it from
there so that's the quickest method to
do it and the website mode might not be
up forever so we're just going to go
through a couple other methods to make
sure that you know how to do it in the
future now for the second method what
we're going to be doing is using our
browser so what we're going to do first
is find a profile that we want to find
the background for I'm going to use my
friend of rays so once we've got to
their profile we're going to right click
on the side and then click a view page
source this will bring us to this huge
page of coding and text what we want to
do is press ctrl F and search for public
slash images slash items and I'll bring
us to this part and this is highlighted
so in front of the highlighted part we
see a number here so we're going to go
ahead highlight that and copy that then
we're going to go to score steam powered
dot-com slash app slash and then paste
your number so now we can see it is from
Batman Arkham origins so we're going to
highlight that and copy it and then go
to the market
I'm going to scroll down and paste it
into our search search it and there we
see there it is so that's the second
method on how to do it I'm going to show
you the third one now so for the third
method we're using the steam client so
once you find a background that you want
to find out what it is what we're going
to do is right click on the side here
and then click view source then we're
going to go ctrl F to bring up the find
and then we're going to type in what we
did before public slash images slash
items images slash items and then it
will see this little area that has been
highlighted we want to get the number
that is in front of that and copy it
then we go to the home page of steam by
clicking the icon here on your browser
and then we're going to type after the
URL slash app and then paste in a number
so we can see it's from Eve online so we
want to go to the market and then type
in eve online and then search for it
then we can see we found the background
here and you can buy the background I
