How To Conjugate "To Look For" - Ψάχνω in Greek Video Lecture | Learn Greek: For Beginners - Other languages

We study the verb "Look for", which in Greek is "ψάχνω" and the present form is Ενεστώτας.
As you can see, we say in Greek: ψάχνω,
ψάχνεις, ψάχνει, we look for,
ψάχνουμε, ψάχνετε, ψάχνουν
or ψάχνουνε.
In order to say the Simple Present, we just
say εγώ ψάχνω, and if we want to stress
the importance on Present Continuous, we say
ψάχνω τώρα.
So, the word τώρα shows that it's Present
Continuous form, now let's move
to Ενεστώτα in Greek.
Ψάχνω, ψάχνεις, ψάχνει,
ψάχνουμε, ψάχνετε, ψάχνουνε
or ψάχνουν.
Imperfect, παρατατικός, έψαχνα,
έψαχνες, έψαχνε, ψάχναμε,
ψάχνατε, ψάχναν or έψαχναν.
I was looking for, you were looking for, he
was looking for.
Past Simple (Αόριστος), I looked for,
you looked for, έψαξα, έψαξες,
έψαξε, ψάξαμε, ψάξατε, ψάξαν
or ψάξανε.
Present Perfect, Παρακείμενος,
έχω ψάξει, έχεις ψάξει,
έχει ψάξει, I have looked for, έχουμε
ψάξει, we have looked for, έχετε
ψάξει, έχουν ψάξει.
Past Perfect (Υπερσυντέλικος),
είχα ψάξει, είχες ψάξει,
είχε ψάξει, είχαμε ψάξει,
είχατε ψάξει, you had looked for,
είχαν ψάξει.
Future Continuous, εξακολουθητικός
μέλλοντας, θα ψάχνω, I will
be looking for, θα ψάχνεις, θα
ψάχνει, θα ψάχνουμε, we will
be looking for, θα ψάχνετε, θα
ψάχνουν or θα ψάχνουνε.
Future Simple, Στιγμιαίος Μέλλοντας,
θα ψάξω, θα ψάξεις, θα ψάξει,
I'll look for, you'll look for, he'll look
for, θα ψάξουμε, θα ψάξετε,
θα ψάξουν or θα ψάξουνε if
afterwards, we have a word which starts with
a vowel.
Future perfect (Συντελεσμένος
Μέλλοντας), I will have looked for,
θα έχω ψάξει, θα έχεις ψάξει,
θα έχει ψάξει, θα έχουμε
ψάξει, θα έχετε ψάξει, they
will have looked for, θα έχουν ψάξει.
Conditional, θα έψαχνα, θα έψαχνες,
θα έψαχνε, θα ψάχναμε, θα
ψάχνατε, θα ψάχναν, or θα
έψαχναν or θα ψάχνανε.
Θα έψαχνα, I would look for, you would
look for, he would look for and I repeat once
again the conditional form: Θα έψαχνα,
θα έψαχνες, θα έψαχνε, θα
ψάχναμε, θα ψάχνατε, θα
έψαχναν or θα ψάχναν or θα
ψάχνανε.
Subjunctive Present, υποτακτική
ενεστώτα, to look for again in English,
να ψάχνω, να ψάχνεις,να
ψάχνει, να ψάχνουμε, for us
to look for, να ψάχνετε, for you
to look for, να ψάχνουν or να ψάχνουνε,
for them to look for.
