you how you can use testimonials to
sculpt your personal brand and to
attract your ideal customers now one of
the things you have to be careful is is
the testimonies that you put out there
you may start attracting nightmare
clients now for example I went to an
event and I got this brochure and this
is one of the testimonials they had in
it a business owner their girls name put
up with our constant insanity changes
special requests nitpicking and more and
never lost her cool anyone else may have
not wanted our business but business
owner delivered beyond our expectations
and continues to be a trusted partner
okay can you just see the nightmare
person you're going to be attracting
with this testimonial you gotta track
someone who's gonna be wanting endless
change is gonna be nitpicking they and
they even say no one else would want our
business and I can attract the people
who are just so hard to work with like
people don't really like working with
him that's where you're gonna trap with
this testimonial I would not put this
testimonial anywhere but I think the
girl she put it up because it was a
pretty influential woman who wrote it
and the entrepreneur circle instead she
should have rewrote this testimonial and
resend it to the lady and then like look
do you mind if I use this instead so
here's what I just based on this
testimonial kind of reworked it quickly
I'm just to say like what would be a
better testimonial so this is better we
looked around at several providers and
shows business owner because she
articulated our vision exactly as we saw
it without pushing her own views upon us
the best part was she delivered our app
on time without endless delays I'm so
happy with my ass I pushed sure to put
an and people can't stop talking about
it now that would be a great testimonial
here's why we looked around at several
providers right then and there selling
your people you know what someone else
has already done the research here
they've looked around it
lots of people and they chose this one
so you'd be okay choosing this one
secondly one of the concerns that I
think most people have been working with
web designers and people that they have
to express their vision to that they
can't show me anything because all in
their head is that they're afraid that
they won't the person who they tell
their vision to won't get it right or
worse that they'll try and say oh you
know what this is better so I tried to
cover them objection within this
testimonial by saying she articulated a
vision exactly we saw it and she did
push our views upon us and then I just
talked about some of the key benefits of
working with this chick which should be
like she delivered it on time now
anyone's worked with the web designer
knows that they are notorious for like
whatever time you tell them that you
just add two months to it because they
would never deliver it on time so this
will be a better testimonial for that
girl someone reading this she won't
attract a nightmare person she'll
tracked a person who wants to get the
project done on time I don't know if
they'll complain but if she definitely
put up that element she's gonna tracked
a lot of complainers so think about that
before you put testimonials on your site
to try and get people make sure your
testimonial addresses the concerns of
your prospects prospects avoid vague
overused wording like delivered upon
deliver beyond our expectations like
that's so big that doesn't mean anything
to anyone just wasted space instead be
very specific and then ask if you get a
horrible testimonial go ahead and ask
the person you know what I rewrote this
do you is it okay if I just use this one
instead and most times I say yes and if
they say no they will shows just shitty
testimonial testimonial anyway it's not
any use to you so you might as well just
go ahead and put yourself out there and
ask if they if you can use it all right
