all right what's going on guys so in
this video we're going to be going over
some more really good Shopify apps so
this is going to be best Shopify apps
episode 2 let's call it conversion
Edition because all of these apps are
going to be focused on increasing
conversions once potential buyers are on
your store so let's hop right into it so
the first app is called scarcity and
it's $10 a month or the 7 day free trial
and what this will do is it will set up
a countdown timer near your product so
if we open up one of the screenshots you
can see here there's a timer here and it
I have this bar that dislike kind of
moves down I honestly don't really know
what the point of this bar is I guess
that just stresses more urgency when you
see a bar slowly filling up or draining
I don't know but the important part
about this app is the timer right here
because you know if you're coming on to
a product and especially if there's a
sale on the product like there is here
and you see a timer that's going to show
us a lot more urgency and increase your
conversion rate now the best use I've
actually found for this particular app
is with free plus shipping offers so
I've been having some pretty good
success using this app with free plus
shipping offers because when a potential
buyer lands on the free offer and they
see that it's free and then you should
always have your free plus shipping
offer as a sale you don't want it to
have just you know $0 is the price all
the time you want it to have the slash
through so maybe the price is normally
$14.99 and then at $0 and then if they
see that and then they see a timer here
that the sale is going to end soon
that's going to massively increase your
conversion rate and being at ten dollars
a month it's going to make you a lot
more than ten dollars a month throughout
the month just offer free plus shipping
offers alone now I wouldn't suggest
putting this on every single item on
your store only do it with items that
are on sale because it doesn't really
make sense to have it on every item
either an item that's on sale or an item
that's maybe you're going to stop
selling soon or you're about to run out
of stock
and I mean I'm sure there is a lot of
creative uses that I haven't thought of
that you can use it for but the biggest
use I've seen for it is for free plus
shipping and it's kind of ironic I find
that I clear these screenshots they
decide to display a casket along with a
counting down timer I'm not sure if this
was supposed to be a joke or not but
that's kind of funny I guess
but anyway definitely use this for your
free plus shipping offers and you will
see a pretty good boost in conversions
and a suggestion maybe set the time I've
been sending the time at 12 hours so
every time someone lands on here the
times always going to reset so it
doesn't you know you don't have to keep
going and setting it every 12 hours if
you set it at 12 hours every time
someone lands on the screen I just start
counting down from 12 hours and you can
experiment with different times to 12
hours is just what I've been using so
it's enough time spent on this app so
the next one is yo pretty cool name and
what this does is it displays recent
sales so if we go to the screenshots
here you can see right here this is what
it's going to do so I'm not even going
to try to pronounce that name in Tokyo
Japan purchased at Nixon's men's watch
and the cool thing about this is if
you're shopping on a store and you see
these alerts coming up every you know 3
5 10 seconds that other people just
bought something or are buying things
you know an hour ago or something like
that you're going to feel more inclined
to buy because you know this is more
like social proof so you know that it's
not like you're the only person on
planet earth it's visited the store this
just shows that other people are
visiting here and they are buying here
so it gives you more credibility and I
know the issue a lot of people are going
to immediately think is what if I don't
have that many sales well you only need
a few sales to start using this and you
can take the 2 minutes ago off and you
can even take the name off and you can
just say it can just be like somebody in
Tokyo purchased that
watch and that's it and it can just play
through like the same five because most
likely if you have it set at ten seconds
someone's not going to be paying they're
not going to sit here and stare at the
bottom left of the screen for an hour
just to see how many of these are
duplicates so if you have a few sales
you can set this to where it it won't
always show the recent ones it can you
can set this app to where it will go
back and show your sales from weeks ago
so you really only need a few sales to
start getting value out of this and this
one seven dollars a month with a 14-day
free trial alright so the next one is
product reviews and this app is by
Shopify themselves and this one's free
so this one's pretty simple it's just
product reviews you know you got your
product right here Add to Cart and then
you'll have customer reviews and if you
don't have anyone to leave reviews you
can always leave your own under your own
email address or get your friends to
leave some reviews under their you know
address and just write something that
you could even tell them what the right
if you need something like this on there
this is just another way to build social
proof with your products and if you're
having people write interviews for you
you can always have them thrown on a
four star something to make it look you
know realistic that's up to you and you
can always customize your thank-you
emails and things like that to ask for
reviews as well so you can get some
legitimate ones as well so that's just
another easy way to build more
credibility on your item sales page and
the next one is free shipping bar and
this one's free and if we go to one of
the screenshots go see up here it says
free shipping for orders over $50 and
this is really good for pretty much any
type of store because you can put free
shipping for a certain price and then
that will influence people to buy
multiple things now if you're selling
sure
it's like in this picture or a lot of
people saw shirts for like 20 and 25
dollars
don't put your free shipping offer at 20
or 25 dollars because that's stupid and
that just looks like desperate the point
of the free shipping offer is to get
people to buy multiple items so you want
to put the price point at a price where
the person has to buy more than one item
they get free shipping so the point of
this is to increase conversions on
larger orders and they get people to be
incentivized to add more things like art
there's really no reason not to do this
at all especially with things like
shirts if you're in a if you have
multiple shirts within your niche this
is a really easy way to get people to
buy multiple those shirts can say you're
selling like firefighters shirts and you
got five different designs somebody is
probably going to like more than one of
your designs and if you put you know
you're selling it for $20 and you put
free shipping for orders over 40 and
then you have an app where it says you
may also like these items after they add
them on the car that's two things
telling them right there to buy another
shirt so this is another app that you
pretty much need to be using there's no
excuse not to especially since it's free
and the last one is exit coupon and this
one is six dollars a month or the 14-day
free trial and if we go the picture here
not all the coupons look like this you
can customize a little bit but you can
change your text and what the point of
this is is somebody that clicks on your
store and they're about to leave like
they come back up to the top and they're
about to X out this coupon to come up
and you can write like hey wait use this
coupon to save 15% and then I would put
in something like hurry this coupon
expires
in 12 hours or something like that but
you can do a coupon just like this one -
or it's just like all the time but if
someone's about to leave your store if
it's me I'm trying to close a sale right
there
so you could say um hey way before you
leave use coupon code blah blah blah
to save 15% but hurry this code expires
in six hours or expires today or
something like that
and the only downfall of this is it's
only going to work on desktop because on
mobile you can't detect when someone's
about to X out of the page but still if
you're running Facebook Ads to target
people on desktop there's no reason not
to use this as well because this can
turn people the beat these people were
already leaving your site anyway so
better to make a sale at a discount not
at all because if someone's going to
come to your site and buy your item
anyway they're not going to see this at
all so this isn't going to hurt your
margins or anything like that because
people will still buy your stuff at
normal price because they won't see this
unless they go to leave the page so this
is only going to be shown to people that
aren't planning on buying they're
planning on leaving so there's really no
reason not to do this because it's just
a generate extra income for your store
so that's it for the five apps to help
increase conversions and when it comes
down to it conversions are pretty much
the most important thing in e-commerce I
mean even if you're getting a lot of
traffic what really matters is how many
sales you're generating so definitely
implement these five apps in your store
