The Best App For Selling T Shirts On Shopify Video Lecture | Shopify tutorial: Build your Shopify Store (English) - E-Commerce

all right what's going on guys and this
video I'm going to be quickly going over
what I think the best
print-on-demand t-shirt and apparel
fulfillment application for Shopify is
and I know and my previous video on
selling t-shirts on Shopify I mentioned
printful and printful is great but
recently I've been using a different app
and your profit margins are a lot higher
because you can get the shirts for
cheaper and there's a lot more product
options so we're here in the back end of
my store and we're going to go to the
app now and it's called custom cap now
just a quick disclaimer you cannot find
this app in the App Store you have to
get it privately so I'll leave link in
an annotation and in the description to
where you can go to get the app and now
real quick I just want to explain why I
feel like this app is the best print on
demand fulfillment service to use if
you're selling apparel t-shirts and
things like that now the number one
thing is pricing the profit margins with
their t-shirts are higher than anyone
else considering you get the shirt for
six dollars and that compared the
printful they're assurance are like $13
so you're making an extra seven dollars
per shirt and if you're selling shirts
for like 20 to 99 $23.99 and you're
getting the shirt for six dollars you
can see that the profit margin is
ridiculously huge that's over $15 just
for selling a t-shirt that's a really
large profit margin just for a t-shirt
and that gives you a lot of wiggle room
when it comes to paying for ads but the
one thing about pricing is with how
printful is free custom cat is $30 per
month but they do have a 30-day free
trial and if we do some math real quick
all right so I pulled up the calculator
real quick just so we can do the math
when it comes to justifying the $30 a
month for
custom-cut as compared the printable
being free so you're buying print for
shirts for $13 and you're buying custom
cat shirts for $6 so that means every
shirt you sell through custom cat your
going to make an extra $7 so if we take
the $30 per month fee and divide that by
$7 which is the extra profit you'd be
making that's 4.28 so we're just going
to round that up to five so pretty much
what I mean by this is all you have to
do is sell five shirts in a month and
you've already benefitted from using
custom cat and as you can probably
imagine you're gonna sell more than five
shirts in a month especially if you just
apply everything that's at all the other
videos on the channel and you know you
don't give up and you optimize your ads
and you keep going you're going to sell
more than five shirts at a month of
anything you should be selling five a
day so as you can see if you're selling
large volumes and you want you don't
even have to be selling large blinds if
you're selling one shirt a day say you
only sell one shirt a day for a month
we're going to go a 30-day month and
then we're just going to so we're going
to do seven times twenty-five because
I'm going to go ahead and take the five
days out where the five shirts will
cover your cost of the thirty dollars
per month so if you do seven times
twenty-five that's $175 so even if
you're only selling one sure today by
using custom can using the six dollar
shirts you'd be making an extra one
hundred and seventy-five dollars per
month so given these profit margins
alone you can see why I decided to
switch over to start using them because
I mean the minutes a no-brainer you're
literally making double off of each sale
for $30 a month which is you know
nothing that's the cost of basic Shopify
store so that's the first reason that I
switched over to custom cat and that I'm
recommending that anyone selling
t-shirts and things like that
switch to custom pet and and the second
benefit of custom cat is there's no
minimum order requirement is
as you sell one item they just fill the
order it's not like teespring where you
have to sell a minimum of 50 or anything
like that it's literally just like
you're doing Aliexpress or anything else
like that
if you sell one they ship one it's like
you have the inventories you don't have
to worry about doing short-term crazy
campaigns just to sell a certain amount
at the time it goes down like now this
is better to set up for a long term
style business and yes printful does do
the same thing too but a lot of other
print-on-demand fulfillment services
don't that's why I had to bring it up
and the third reason is just the mass
amount of products they have and
actually right now they're adding one
new product every day for the next 30
days in the month of August and if
you're watching this video later than
August then you already have access to
all the products but they go beyond just
you know basic t-shirts they have
t-shirts v-necks hoodies hats iPhone
cases bags things like that you can sell
a bunch of different stuff and now I
will say one problem that some people
will run into with all these options is
they'll get analysis paralysis so it's
probably best to stick to a few products
in the beginning just that way you can
keep your focus just to make sure you're
taking action focus on making sales
those are the three reasons why I switch
the custom cap for apparel fulfillment
for a print on demand and those are the
reasons why I recommend that everyone
who's trying to do print on demand
through Shopify switch to them as well
if you're not already using them and now
real quick I'm just going to go through
a quick demonstration of how you would
create a design and put it on different
products so you would just click on the
custom cat app and then you would just
upload a new design now you can upload
designs on the front or just the back or
both but if you put a design on the
front and the back it's going to add an
extra $5 and cut into your profit
margins so I see no reason to do that
picking into jumps
these aren't t-shirt designs whatsoever
but I'm just going to pick the logo of
the YouTube channel here
and as you can see this would make a
absolutely horrible shirt because the
background is not transparent it's white
so this would look absolutely terrible
but for the sake of the example we're
going to continue so you just hit next
and alright so at this page you'll just
select your products and obviously I
reiterate once again this is not a shirt
design this looks like absolute and
no one would ever buy it
I wouldn't even buy it and it's my mojo
but this is just for the sake of the
example here so you can see that there
bass shirt right here just the cotton
t-shirt is six dollars so we'll add that
and you know they got boobs
a bunch of different stuff this is I
guess woman's tank top hoodies
tank top v-necks hats snapback trucker
style hats uh exercise shirts lady
shirts and look how awesome these logos
look on here I mean who wouldn't wear
this but as you can see you can come
over here and you know you can get rid
of featured products and you can go to
like blankets I guess this is kind of
like a Snuggie and you can see they have
a ton of different types of apparel that
you can go for here dress shirts things
like that I mean for the most part
you're going to be sticking with the
t-shirt and hoodies and tank tops and
hats they're the most basic ones to sell
and they're private easiest to sell to
be honest and this is the one you're
gonna be selling the most because the
profit margins so huge six dollars so
we're just going to go I'm going to just
add a pullover hoodie and go to next and
once you get to this screen here you
just get to pick all the colors you
might sell it in so black orange pink
there we go
have the main color and pink here
and then you get this like your price t
shirts usually 2299 hoodies usually
$39.99 and you can go ahead and add your
product tags here and add to any of your
existing collections and you can have it
auto select all these available sizes
already and you can see it will show the
amount of variance it has and then I'm
obviously not going to add these
horrific products to my store but all
you would do is go down here to export
and when you do these products would
already be automatically synced into the
product section of your store with all
of the color variants you selected and
all of the sizes you selected and your
collection with your tags and things of
the sort if you pick add grouping it
would be your sales pages essentially it
just has a bunch of stuff on one page
what it would mean is you could buy the
casual e-commerce shirt the casual
ecommerce hoodie a casual e-commerce hat
you could pick whether you want a shirt
put your hat all on one page now I
usually keep my product separate I just
you know when I have a shirt page it's
just a shirt I don't have it to where
you can pick the hoodie and stuff but
some people like to do that some people
have had success with that so that's why
the option is here so that's pretty much
a quick tutorial of how you would use
this it's pretty simple pretty basic and
once the products are in there you're
good to go
you can edit your descriptions and
things of the sort and then start
running ads them or whatever traffic
methods you're using and then once
orders are placed and when you click on
apps and go to custom cat as soon as you
click on that you'll see where all of
your orders are and you'll see whether
they're being fulfilled and then you'll
see the tracking number and information
and everything like that so when an item
sells when one of your products sell you
don't have to do anything everything
else is done for you and the product is
automatically fulfilled the orders
automatically marked as fulfilled and
the customer set tracking information so
it's pretty simple so overall if you're
looking to sell t-shirts or to use
anything of a sort any type of apparel I
would recommend using custom cat just
because the profit margins are so much
larger than any other fulfillment
service you can use and there's no
minimums when it comes to ordering
super easy to set up high profit margins
