all right what's going on guys so we're
inside of Excel and I just created this
sample ad tracking sheet and this is
pretty much the template that I use for
tracking ads and tracking profit loss on
my stores and things are the sorts I
just figured I'd share it with everyone
here now tracking this intensively you
know it's not 100 percent mandatory but
I find it helpful especially when you
see all the numbers broken down next to
each other on your ads it's a lot easier
to tell which ones you should scale when
you should scale them and which ones you
should cut and it's nice to be able to
look at numbers and you know sometimes
it's motivating to look at numbers when
you see certain ads performing really
well or you see that you know profit in
your stores rising over the past few
days and things like that so I just
wanted to share this template with you
guys really quick so we'll just run
through what it is real quick so the
first section up top is going to track
ads so as you can see over here it's
sales outlet it's just what ad it is so
I put a sample stuff here like item 1
item 2 tripwire one and then what it's
targeting what platforms it's on things
of the sort I mean this is all gonna
vary depending on how you set up your
ads I just filled this in as an example
and then the next section is the number
of orders they've been placed through
that ad and then the gross order total
and then the profit from the orders and
this is before ads before ad spend that
is and then how much money you spent on
the ad up until this point and then here
is your profit loss after the edge and
then the next section is for the return
the type of return you're getting on
your ad spend so all you would do to get
this number is take the profit from
orders divided by the ad spend so you
take twenty divided by five and you'd
have a 4x return on this edge and then
over here I put the daily ad budget of
every ad and these numbers if you
analyze them they probably don't make
any sense because I just put Ram
numbers in here but the point is just to
show you the template so that's pretty
much it for the top section for
analyzing your ads I think this is a
good way to be able to tell which ads
are performing the best it's plain to
see when it's all in front of you it's
sometimes it can be confusing when
you're switching to Facebook and Shopify
you're trying to figure out what ads are
doing what well if you keep track of
everything like this you can tell which
ads are performing the best and
obviously the best performing ad should
be scaled accordingly and this bottom
section here just keeps track of your
entire store so on the Left I have the
date and then the ad spending totals are
how much you spent on ads that entire
day and then how many sales you
generated in your store and then how
much profit you generated from their
sales before ads and then your profit
and loss after ads and then the far
right is overall store profit starting
from when you started so if day one you
lost $20 your overall store profits a 20
loss and the day to make $10 so your
overall store profits a 10 maus and
obviously other expenses come into play
like your monthly Shopify cost and all
the apps using things of the sort it's
just another way to keep track of
numbers and see about where you're going
making sure you're headed in the right
direction and things like that so what's
a sudden beginning of the video this is
completely optional you don't have to
track everything so meticulously like I
do but I like to keep track of
everything I like to see all the numbers
right in front of me and I figured I'd
share this template with you guys and
