How To Remove "Powered By Shopify" From Your Store Footer Video Lecture | Shopify tutorial: Build your Shopify Store (English) - E-Commerce

all right so this video I'm going to
show you how to remove the power by
Shopify link down here in the footer and
this is one of the first things you'll
probably want to do every time you start
a store because there's really no reason
for it to be here and typically removing
it can make your store just look a
little bit more professional so it's
actually pretty easy all you have to do
is go into your admin and go to online
store and then when you're here at
themes you just click these three dots
and then we're going to edit HTML and
then you're just gonna click theme dot
liquid and when you're hovered over this
just ctrl F and we're gonna search for
copyright and then you can see right
here it takes us to this part of the
code that has to do with the footer
copyright now you can find this yourself
but you know no one really wants to
scroll through all this so just use ctrl
left and type copyright and then we're
going to scroll the raid and then you
can see right here to say powered by
wink so this is the powered by Shopify
link so all you do to take it out is
just get rid of it and then save and
then you'll see if we come over here and
refresh the page that it's now gone so
that's simple and you can also edit the
other things in the footer down here you
can see that what's next is the date so
you can see that that shows up here 2016
and then your shop name and then that
links to your shop you don't really need
to mess with any of this this looks fine
so that's how you move to be powered by
Shopify from the footer of your store
