video is going to be about why ecommerce
SEO and or search engine optimization is
crucial and why nobody talks about it so
what is SEO so SEO or search engine
optimization is a process that
determines which websites show up on the
first page of google or other search
engines but nobody uses those so we're
just talking about google for a specific
search term so you can see this picture
here I screenshotted its search out bird
necklace so the number one represents
those the first layer is the Google
Shopping ads and then you can see the
number two it says add for etsy so
that's an AdWords ad and then number
three those are the organic results so
those results are there as the result of
SEO so why is it important for
e-commerce so let's just do a quick live
example to put it into a better
perspective so person one is going to
represent someone being hit with a
Facebook ad for a bird necklace and
person to is going to represent someone
who is searching for bird necklace on
google so person 1 and person two are
both in a mall and both person one and
two white bird necklaces however person
one is in the mall to meet up with some
friends and catch a movie while person
to is in there to shop person one walks
by a sign advertising a bird necklace so
that sign represents the facebook at
while person two walks directly into a
jewelry store and begin the browsing
bird necklaces and that represents the
Google search keep in mind both people's
intentions for being in the mall person
one is there to see a movie in person
too
there's a shop and the fact that they
both like bird necklaces so which one of
these people is more likely to buy
person to Y and that's because person
one in person to both like bird
necklaces however person want is not in
the mall to shop while persons who is in
the mall to shop and better yet he's in
the mall to shop for a bird necklace
therefore he has buyer intent already
person 1 represents someone who likes
burn necklaces browsing Facebook and
being hit with one of your ads while the
person likes the necklace they are not
on Facebook to shop there for a lower
percentage of these people will buy
compared the person to who represent
people conducting a search for bird
necklace these people were clearly
intent on browsing products and most
likely by and meaning of the conversion
rate is going to be a lot higher so
other than increased conversions why
else should you be doing SEO so reason
number two is going to be passive sales
so once you have attained the ranking
for one of your products generally it
doesn't take much maintenance to keep
that ranking this means that all day 24
7 a percentage of people searching for
bird necklace or whatever product you're
ranking for will click over to your site
and potentially buy this creates passive
sales and essentially free sales at this
point although ranking initially is most
likely going to take some budget but
it's an investment that's going to
continue to pay off on a passive premise
so this passive sales aspect makes
ecommerce SEO key to establishing a
long-term brand and success because it
helps to make your sales more consistent
even when Facebook ads are going up and
down so why is it constantly overlooked
that's pretty simple it's because it's
not exciting and it's slow ranking in
Google can usually take a few months and
it's and obviously it's not as
eye-catching as term five dollars into
fifty dollars and one day therefore
nobody mentions it however it can be a
very
component in increasing sales and making
them more consistent it just adds
another layer of stability to your sales
so when should you start so obviously
your return on time and money investment
won't pay off right away with SEO which
is why it's best to start out with
facebook ads with the new stores start
out with things similar to Facebook ads
like Adwords and Google Shopping because
you can get a return right away however
it is good to have the foundation of
your store and your products SEO
optimized from the start to set you open
the right direction once you are
profiting and decide to make the time
and/or money investment into ranking
your products so that being said that's
