all right so one of the biggest
questions and/or concerns in econ is
what should you do when you're not
making any sales so this video is going
to be made to address that now I will
say before we get into it this may not
be the most I guess you can say it might
it's gonna be very blunt and straight to
the point so it might not be for the
faint of heart but let's go ahead and
get into it so the first solution would
be if you're not making any sales to
test the checkout process if you haven't
done this already so there could be a
kink or at the which with the checkout
process that is keeping people from
being able to buy so just make sure that
your checkout process is running
smoothly smoothly and you can do this
just by going ahead and placing an order
from your own store so this is a pretty
simple solution and most of the time
your checkout process is gonna be fine
but there is a chance that there could
be a kink that's holding it up so this
is definitely the first thing you should
always do and the second thing that you
need to do is audit the look of your
store and this is probably the biggest
reason that most people don't make sales
and it's just because their stores look
like complete crap so the first thing
you need to do is ask yourself honestly
does my store look like complete crap
and if it does then you're going to need
to redesign it make it look better so
you need to ask yourself would you buy
from your own store so if you were just
a customer and you were going to buy and
you were interested in the products you
have would you buy from your store or
would you search for a similar product
on another store maybe I want Amazon
because the store just doesn't look good
it doesn't look professional so if you
wouldn't buy from your store why would
somebody else so a couple other things
you can do while all didn't look at your
store
is take a look at your product titles
and descriptions I can't tell you how
many people have the default copy and
paste the product titles from Aliexpress
and I don't know who on earth would buy
from a store when the title of product
is 13 words and broken English that
doesn't even make sense
so I bet your product title so they
aren't default if you haven't and then
the same with the descriptions I can't
tell you how many people have
descriptions that's just copy and pasted
bullet point features from the
Aliexpress sales pages and they've put
no effort in the write in any unique
descriptions or haven't done any
branding in the descriptions at all
there's no sales copy there's nothing
it's just copy and paste the bullet
points and then they wonder why they
don't make any sales and this is why so
another thing to look at is do you have
the essential pages for your store so
frequently asked questions your about
page your contact and all that and we
actually have a video on all the
essential pages that you should have on
your store which I'll link in the
description and then another big one
which is it's really surprising how many
people start and launch a store and
start driving traffic to a store and
they don't even have a logo I mean this
just baffles me I don't know where or
who is out there teaching that you can
start stores with no logo or no branding
but whoever's doing that is wine so if
you don't have a logo any branding you
need to a revisit where you're getting
your information from and probably start
learning from another outlet and be
you're going to need to get a logo and
start branding your stores that way it
actually looks like a place where people
real people will actually spend their
money so the next thing to look at is
you need to ask yourself have you spent
enough money if you've only spent $50 or
less on ads then you haven't spent
nearly enough to analyze any types of
results yet so many people go in they'll
launch one product and they'll spend $20
on it or even less sometimes I've seen
people that say I've spent five dollars
and got in those sales and it's the
first time they've ever ran
to a product you're you're never going
to get a sale on your first product with
the first five dollars there's no way I
mean maybe one out of 500 people would
be able to get a sale on their first
product ever their first facebook ad
ever in their first five dollars you
don't understand how rare that is so it
just baffles me when people start having
these panic attacks when they don't have
a sale after five dollars so if you
haven't spent a good amount of money on
ads then there's no reason to be
freaking out and running for the hills
and making a big deal about the fact
that you haven't made a sale yet if you
haven't even spent enough money on
testing and if you're curious about how
much money you should have to test I
always recommend that whenever start a
new story you should at least have
$1,000 in budget for every story you
start and we actually have a video
explaining why that is and I'll link
that in the description as well so the
next thing you need to ask yourself is
if have you generated enough traffic to
justify any concern a lot of people will
say I've gotten 20 visitors and
generated in those sales well that's
really common I mean if if you haven't
generated at least 100 visits to your
store then it's too early to judge
anything and I want to emphasize at
least a hundred visits to your store
because most conversion rates on EECOM
stores you can get them upwards of 10
percent but most of the time it's gonna
be 2 to 3 percent so that means 2 to 3
out of 100 people will buy so if you
haven't even generated your first 100
visitors you don't even know what
percentage your store is converting at
yet so it's way too early to start
worrying about stuff like that most
people just don't they're not patient
enough to gather enough data to justify
any concern or to be able to actually
look back and logically analyze any
results instead they just are looking
for immediate gratification and that's
just not how it works so the next thing
the noob ask yourself is did you just
start your store in the last week and
also I'll add in is this your first
store because if this is your first ever
store and you started it within a week
you're probably not going the
generate a sale right away cuz most
likely you're making some of the
mistakes that we've already gone over so
too often times new sellers just have
these crazy expectations and go
ballistic when these expectations aren't
met and if this is your first store and
it's under a week old do you really
think it's the end of the world if you
haven't made a sale yet because most
likely you're making every mistake in
the book which is going to keep you from
generating the first sale so this is
something where you need to understand
that you know stuff doesn't get rolling
within a week when you're learning a
brand new business like I don't know why
people look at business models different
than you know learning skills they'd get
a job for it like if you have to go to
school for two four six years to you
know get most normal jobs and stuff out
there how do you think you're going to
learn how to run a profitable business
in under a week so I mean that's just
unrealistic and stupid so let's go ahead
and get to the next one which is you
need to launch more products if you've
only tested one or two products then
you've already found your problem a lot
of the times say you're in the dog niche
you're gonna have to test upwards of 20
products maybe even more if you've
already gone through all the first five
solutions then your store looks good
you're spending a sufficient amount of
money you're getting good traffic and
you're still not making sales then you
just need to test new products that
maybe the products you're currently
running traffic to just our bad and it
doesn't mean you have to remove them
from the store you can keep them on
there is a add on items for you know
people that browse your store and stuff
but maybe just stop driving traffic to
those products and start testing out new
ones this is another thing that a lot of
people do they think their first product
they ever run traffic to is going to be
a winner it's gonna make money and
sometimes well the majority of the time
that just isn't the case you're going to
have to test a lot of products so if one
product doesn't work and you know
everything else is set up right your
checkout process is good your store
looks good you spend a good you spend
enough money testing the product you got
enough traffic to the product
the fire that's not getting sales then
test another product that's all you need
to do especially if it's in a niche like
fishing dogs like any niche where you
know people are making money then it's
not a question of is the niche wrong
it's the product and the targeting and
speaking of that we're going to get into
solution number seven which has to do
with the targeting which is testing
different ad variations so you can
always if stuff isn't working out you
can try a different audience within your
niche you can try different ad images
you can try a new ad copy just test out
a bunch of different things and a lot of
times this can lead to better results
especially if you're testing audiences
and products
odds are you're going to get the right
combination and then you're going to
find your first winning campaign so the
last solution we're gonna go over is the
be-all end-all solution this is the
really the only solution you really need
because you if you without this
philosophy then you're going to
passively do all the other things just
because this is the way you think about
things so you need to accept the fact
that you're not gonna get results as
fast as quote-unquote gurus or other
seasoned sellers because those type of
quick and super profitable profitable
results just aren't going to happen
until you have a proven track record and
a level of experience so you know
exactly what you're doing so when you
launch a store you know exactly what to
do you know exactly how the test you
know exactly at a scale and once you
know how to do that then yes you can
produce results faster but in the
beginning you're not going to be able to
do that so the next thing is you need to
commit to learning and improving from
every single mistake you make don't make
the same mistake twice if you start a
store and you know that your mistake was
you left default titles and product
descriptions don't ever make that same
mistake again so constantly try to focus
on improving aspects of your store and
your marketing even if it's little
things just make sure you're always
improving a little thing every single
day and then rather than whining about
not getting rich in one week take
energy and directed towards focusing on
improving an aspect of your store and
the next thing is just the test test
test so you just need to keep testing
keep testing your products keep testing
new looks at your store keep testing new
descriptions keep testing new audiences
keep testing new ads just keep testing
everything until you find something that
works and keep in mind that one win can
pay for twenty losses so if you go
through twenty products testing twenty
products and only one of them ends up
being a profitable product most of the
time that one profitable ad campaign can
pay for all of the losses and all the
testing processes that you just went
