alright guys so in this video we're
going to talk about one word that can
change your entire e-commerce business

okay so guys when it comes down to
running an e-commerce store or any
business for that matter there's really
one word that really impacts how well
your business is going to do over time
and that word is value so what do I mean
by value I mean the value that your
business is actually bringing into the
customers life so for example for my
digital product business casual
e-commerce the value that I am bringing
to my customers of my audience you guys
is high quality information that can
help you guys start ecommerce businesses
so let's spin this and think about this
more on the e-commerce perspective so
let's say I have an e-commerce brand
based around something simple like
markers now now what I would want to do
is I don't just want to focus on selling
people markers obviously I want to make
sales because I want to make money but I
want to sell them markers and also
provide value to them because when you
provide value to somebody when you
improve their life when your product
genuinely benefits them they're gonna
keep coming back and wanting to buy your
product buy other products they're gonna
recommend you to their friends so
providing value is really important when
it comes to having a business it can
sustain long term so if you have a
product like this marker let's say I was
selling this marker and I wanted to
provide some value with it so let's dive
really deep into this so let's say I
wanted to sell this marker to artists so
I wanted people that like to draw with
markers to buy this so this is my target
audience so instead of just running an
ad to artist saying hey here's a great
marker
I could run a video ad that is a
tutorial on how to draw a person or
something like and is some type of
simple drawing tutorial and in that
tutorial I would be using the product
our product is marketed disclaimer I do
not own a Sharpie so in that video
tutorial I'd be using my product so I'm
discreetly promoting the product but I'm
also providing value so I'm teaching
them something I'm teaching an artist
how to draw so what you need to think
about is how can I provide my target
audience with more value than the next
guy because the majority of people were
out there just like oh I haven't I have
a marker I want to sell it to artists
here buy this you're an artist buy this
market now if I go out there and instead
of advertising like that and I advertise
with the video of here's three ways to
draw how to draw a person's face in
three easy steps and I'm using my
product in that video the majority of
people are going to come over to my
brand because they're gonna remember oh
hey this person actually this brand
actually taught me something and you're
gonna stick in their memory more and
when they think about markers they're
going to come back to you so let's just
go ahead and play out this entire
sequence here so I could have a video ad
teaching somebody how to draw using my
product which is a marker so then I
could target just artists on Facebook so
from there I can retarget people that
say watched 50% of that ad with a blog
post with more value in it so instead of
a video demonstration of how to draw a
face maybe it's a blog post a really
in-depth blog post of five
underestimated or overlooked drawing
techniques so I'm really click baby
title like that but something that's
going to provide a lot of value to my
targeted audience which in this case is
artists so
let's say I've run the video ad and then
I have that retargeting set up to where
I'm retargeting people that have watched
50% of the video ad with this blog post
and then in the blog post we obviously
are linking to our products so at this
point everyone that's watched the video
and seeing the blog post have received
two pieces of really good value from my
brand which means I'm now more ingrained
in their mind and they're more likely to
open their wallet and give my company
money why because I have provided them
with value so this is this one example
but the general theme here is you always
want to be thinking of ways to provide
value you want to provide more value
than your competitors so if your
competitors are just direct linking the
products which is fine you can do that
that still works but you want to figure
out ways to provide additional value
maybe add bundles in there maybe here
free gifts with your products maybe have
some sort of depending on what you're
selling I mean it would be hard to do
this one drop shipping but if you're
creating your own products have some
handwritten letters to people in their
packages if they purchase say over $100
from your store or things like that
there's a lot of things you can do to
provide additional value and make the
customer feel more special and more
engaged with your brand so this is
something that you need to be trying to
do across the board even if you're just
even with drop shipping stores you need
to be creating more value than your
competitors because when you create more
value you're no longer going to be
competing with people that are just
trying to show products in people's face
and not provide any sort of value that
actually you know don't care about the
customer at all if you actually care
about your customer and care about their
experience you're gonna do a lot better
so what that means said try and be
creative when you're thinking of ways to
provide value to your customers and with
