using notes and the notify option you
can add notes to a page or a specific
record enough very easily you can also
then notify yourself or another person
within the company about this note to
act as a reminder or to provoke a
follow-up for example if I go to the
open sales orders and I choose one
particular sales order so for example we
may have had a message from the customer
saying they would like to delay this
order by one week so I can either go to
the ribbon at the top and choose notes
or I can go down to the franc boxes on
the right hand side and notes is also
there so if I click to create a new note
this note will be attached to this sales
order I can add the details then just
click to save this and it will remain as
a note on the file but much more
usefully I can notify somebody else for
example if I take in the phone call
about this but wasn't the person that
normally deal with this account what I
can do is notify the person and then
click save that note is now recorded
against this sales order and displays in
the FAQ box on the right hand side I can
double click it to view it or if I
return to our role center here in my
notifications I have the message about
the note who it was from the date
created and the actual message and if I
double click this it will take me
directly to the sales order where the
note is still saved
on my roll center I can remove the
notification once I've dealt with it it
will still be on the sales order all
I've done is remove the notification
from my Ralph's Center if I want to
remove the actual note from the sales
order I can delete it
I can also apply a note to a customer so
for example on the customers list page
if I go on to customer 40,000 their
graphics and maybe I have a situation
where I need to call them tomorrow
because there's a certain individual who
will only be available tomorrow and they
want to discuss a big order so again on
the ribbon I can go up to notes or on
the right-hand side the fact box I can
click to create a new note I enter my
details and select notify and choose my
colleague from the list and then save it
that is saved on a customer card now so
here on my role Center in my
notifications I have the note that was
sent to me as a reminder and if I double
click this it will call the customer
card with all the contact details I
would need to go and talk to this
customer the note itself is still
present if I double click the note it
pops up with a full message once I've
dealt with it in my role Center I will
go to the action a remove notification
if the work is completed I can remove
the note if it's no longer relevant or
it can be left there as a record if this
is appropriate I don't need to keep it
for reference so I want you to delete it
