using the export to excel option any
page in nav can be exported to Microsoft
Excel here I'm on the customers list
page if I apply a quick sort to this so
now they're sorted by customer name
eh-2-zed and i go up to the application
menu and I choose print and send here I
have the option to export to Microsoft
Excel there is also a keyboard shortcut
for this ctrl + E if I choose this it
will open Excel and show all the data
from this page in Excel in the new
workbook so I choose open and here we
have the customers list in full all the
columns are edible I can resize them and
start to work with the data it all comes
through as one page in a new workbook
containing every column and every record
that was visible on the page in now if I
want to filter things to fine-tune the
exported information then this would be
a good idea
so it only exports would actually need
so if I right click on a column and go
to choose columns it could be that I
don't need all of the information
straight away so if I remove a few of
these columns then I now have less
columns across the top of the page width
I also don't need the phone number or
block fields so if I go back into choose
columns I remove them and say ok and
there we are so now I've got my customer
list sorted alphabetically eh-2-zed and
I've got just the columns I require so
now if I go to use the keyboard shortcut
ctrl + E
and then say open and I can see the data
I requested
so all the records from the customers
list page sorted alphabetically a to Zed
and just the columns that I have visible
on the page at the time now that was a
list page I exported if I go to a card
page so I pick one particular customer
so customer number 40,000 Deerfield
graphics this customer card page has
fast tabs so general communication
invoicing payments so which can be
expanded or collapsed if I go to
application menu print and send and
choose Microsoft Excel or do ctrl + e it
will send the card page out into a new
workbook in Excel using one page of the
workbook for each fast tab so a page of
the general fast tab a page for
communication fast tab and so on all of
the six fast tabs have been expanded and
exported out to excel with all the
available information it does not matter
whether I viewed the page with them
expanded or collapsed it will expand all
of them and export them out if I now go
and view the items list page this shows
me all of the items within the item
table so if I wish to sort these by
description or by number I can click the
column heading to apply a saw to that
column then if I do ctrl + E I will have
a full list of the items this company
sells available to me in Excel so here
we see they are sorted by number with
all the columns and records that were
available now it might be a good idea to
filter this information first if I just
want a selection of their items so
within the data the items that have a
number starting 80,000 onwards are the
computers and computer components so if
I go to the filter pane choose number
and enter 8 and the star which means 8
followed by anything I then apply this
filter
then just have the computer items to
export this to excel I'll do ctrl + E so
now here is my refined list of just the
computer-based items that have an item
number beginning with an 8 if I go on to
one particular item card the computer
item number 8005 its card page has fast
tabs with detail about one particular
item that we sell I can expand or
collapse these fast tabs to see more or
less information and then to export it
to excel like ghostie application menu
print and send and choose to export to
excel this card page is exported to
excel as a new workbook with the page
for each of the first tabs general
invoicing replenishment planning foreign
trade item tracking and warehouse all
the fast tabs from the item card are
exported whether they are expanded or
collapsed and they're exported to a page
in the Excel workbook
