Shipping Label Templates - Brightpearl Video Lecture - Using Brightpearl

this is the second video about shipping
methods where I'm going to show you how
we set up custom templates to use for
specific shipping methods so why would
you want to use a custom template for a
shipping method perhaps you've got a ppi
mark which is something we use in the UK
or maybe you want to put custom footers
on with tracking information so you'd
only want to show tracking information
for tracked services you might want to
have a cash-on-delivery template with
terms and conditions on the bottom I'm
sure you can think of plenty more ideas
so here's how you set it up it's pretty
straightforward really we're going to
create a new template and actually we've
got some sample templates which I'll
show you or you can use one of the
example templates from the drop down
menu or work with an HTML template
designer for a bespoke design choose
this template on the shipping method set
up and then print a goods out note it'll
automatically use that template if you
choose that shipping method to create a
new template go into the setup area and
then on the left hand side click
templates and then go document templates
click the big green button to add a
template then you can code your template
in here or flip to HTML mode and paste
in the document template or the HTML
which has been given to you by a
designer so going back to visual mode
you can see one that I've dropped in
here let's call this the special
delivery template because what I'm going
to do is I'm actually going to put
what's called a ppi mark in I click the
little image icon insert the image URL
and there we've got the image and what
we're going to do now is create a new
shipping method called special delivery
and then assign this template to it so
now that we've saved that template let's
go back into setup on the left hand side
go to shipping and then shipping methods
click to add a shipping method let's
just call it special delivery and then
you see in the templates tab you've got
the ability to choose that new template
that you've just created I'll scroll to
the bottom or we've got special delivery
I'm now going to update an existing
goods out a note to use that template so
let's go sales goods out notes due to
ship I'll print this one at the top of
the list it's currently set to UPS
express plus we're going to update the
shipping details to special delivery and
you can see that bright pearl is now
using the new template which is set for
this specific shipping method and that's
all there is to it if you create extra
channel brands you'll have to go back
into the set up shipping method screen
to make sure that that template is
assigned to each of your channel brands
