Powerful Sales Productivity Secrets To Boost Your Sales Video Lecture | B2B Sales: Tips and Strategies

Sales productivity is probably one the most
important and impactful levers that you have
in order to directly boost your results in
sales, in business, and in life.
So in this video I want to give you four quick
tips, in order to boost your own sales productivity
and ways to think about how you can improve
in four key areas.
The first area is to prefer quality over quantity.
Now if we're in the day to day, there's a
real drive for us to do things on autopilot,
right?
We make calls on autopilot, we respond to
email on autopilot, we engage in social selling
on autopilot, and the problem with that is
it's very easy to start measuring quantitative
things, that, where they sound good and where
they may give you a feeling of accomplishment,
they really don't contribute that much to
the bottom line.
So one quick tip for example I will give you,
is to quarterly review the activities that
you've engaged in over that quarter.
Let's say that you spend a lot of time doing
social media, and look at what are the actual
results that you got from that.
Now if you're anything like me and if your
experience is anything like mine, you'll probably
find that a small number of things contribute
to the majority of your results.
And the message of course there then is, drop
the stuff that doesn't work, take the stuff
that does work, and do much more of it.
The second thing you can do to in order to
improve your sales productivity is to adopt
a sales productivity system.
Now this looks different for everybody else.
I personally am a huge fan of Getting Things
Done, GTD, by David Allen, or The Pomodoro
Technique.
I religiously plan my week ahead, and I religiously
start every day with doing the first 30 minutes
on work that truly matters, the strategic
stuff, the big picture stuff, the long term
stuff.
The stuff that if we're not careful, gets
pushed away towards the end of the day where
we'll never get to it.
The third thing I highly recommend that you
do is to think outside the box.
Try and uncover and discover some new tools
that can help you be more effective.
There's a huge amount of sales 2.0 tools out
there, anything from email applications to
social CRM's that can help you get more done
in less time.
And finally, if you want to work and if you
want to accomplish real long term habit change,
and boost your sales productivity, one of
the best things you can do is to team up.
Find a buddy, have an accountability meeting
every Monday morning, doesn't have to be long,
ten minutes on the phone, just talking about
what you're planning to do over that week,
how the last week went, and give each other
some actionable advice and some tips and suggestions.
You really don't need to hire a coach for
this, it's something that you can do with
someone else in your firm , maybe a colleague,
a friend of yours who's also in sales, but
team up, buddy up, find someone to hold you
accountable, and I promise you your results
will start coming faster and sooner, and to
a larger degree than you'd ever imagined.
