hi i'm josh ellsworth with stahls TV and
this cadworxlive.com you log in through
cadworxlive.com so we have a design
created within the design studio as you
can see we have our font selected our
placement complete we've dropped some
clipart in the background and this is
the power of the template if I want to
make any changes to this all I have to
do is double click I can change the text
very easily and it maintains all the
font formatting all the placement
likewise if I want to swap out clipart I
can select the clipart and I can go up
to edit and click on replace and it will
allow me to bring in another piece of
clipart from the clip art library within
CAD works so once you have this layout
complete and you want to save it as a
template all you need to do is go to
file save as and then under your folder
system you can'tyou have a template drop
down under my files there's a template
folder so you can actually save it
directly within the template folder here
or if you want to create your own
subfolder to kind of categorize your
templates you can simply add a new
category under the templates and then
with it selected you can edit the
category and let's just call this
to color designs and now I can save the
name of that template let's call this
one large clipart
with text overlay and I can assign some
keywords to it like I know that was
Eagles Dover to color that way when I do
a search it pulls up that template as
well once you have all this created you
simply click Save and now even if I
delete this off of my screen the next
time I log into CAD works I go to file
open and I just navigate under my files
to my templates menu and I can see my
large clipart selected there and I can
open that and begin editing to create a
new design perhaps for a new school or
team so that's the value of creating
your layouts saving your layouts as
templates to make everything changeable
