hey everyone welcome back to day 28 day
28 we're so close to the 30 days and we
are focusing on publishing your book so
today we're gonna be talking about
Kindle and eBook publishing for those of
you that want to go that route and even
if you don't even if you want to go the
printed book route you're still gonna
have to do a books and Kindle publishing
as well to make it in this market so
let's get started
welcome back everybody to day 28 my name
is Garrett Pearson author of the book
how to write a book ASAP and we are
focusing now on day 28 all about
publishing your book and getting that
book out there to the world now over the
last couple days we've talked about
traditional publishing versus
self-publishing the last two days we've
talked about self-publishing and all
kinds of resources and the steps and
everything that you need to get ready to
get your book self-published now we're
going to be focusing on eBook publishing
or what I like to call also Kindle
publishing because Kindle is the rock
star right now
as you're watching this video probably
of e-books okay now some of you don't
want to do a print book you don't care
about that and you just want to focus on
the e-book so this videos is especially
for you but if you do want to go the
traditional publishing route or
self-publishing and you want a print
book that you can a tangible print book
that you want to sell you also need to
do an e-book and the bottom line is in
today's world you have to you just have
to I mean it's just the bottom line
okay you just have to and so I mean
think of it this way there are millions
of Kindle owners millions of iPad owners
millions of mobile phone apps that you
can read ebooks so it's just a must I
know for myself I buy a lot of Kindle
books and I buy a lot of print books
about 5050 right now but it's going more
towards the ebook versions on my Kindle
reader okay so with that being said
let's talk about some resources to help
you through the system I'm gonna put all
the resources under this video with
links straight to these training
programs now in my author success
training system
I do teach you exactly the steps of how
to get a book up on Kindle okay there's
also another system called the number
one book system by Ryan Deiss it's an
awesome system and I'll have a link to
that under
this video now both of these my system
and Ryan dices system are both great to
teach you exactly how to get your book
up on Kindle
now the marketing of that is a whole
nother story and and I go deep into that
to my training system but also Ryan
dices system is very good at that so I
don't mind sharing other people's
marketing systems to help you market
that book once it is published so here's
what you need to do to get your e-book
out there what I suggest you do is you
finish your book obviously you get it
edited and you're still going to need a
cover for your book okay you're not
going to necessarily need a back cover
but you are going to need a front cover
and that to me is one of the most
important pieces to publishing an e-book
on Kindle or the note or anywhere you
publish a book okay
now that being said make sure your cover
is excellent because that's everything
that people judge your book on when it
comes to looking online now the next
thing is you have to format your book
now you can outsource this to somebody
on Elance comm or you can try and figure
it out yourself it's getting easier and
easier to format your book but your book
has to be formatted into an e-book
format so that these readers these
Kindle the Nook the iPad all these
readers can put your book in the right
format so the people can read on their
various devices now I've used a company
called ebook it calm again links below
this video ebook at calm there's also
book baby calm now what these companies
will do for you for a very low fee of
about hundred to two hundred dollars
they will take your book you'll send
them their files and they will format
the book for you okay
that's the first thing they do the next
thing they'll do is they will upload
your book to the Kindle to Amazon okay
they'll create the Kindle file those
upload it to Barnes & Noble they'll
upload it to iBooks they'll upload it to
all these different retailers that sell
ebooks which is awesome
just keep in mind if you do that some of
these companies like ebook it do take a
royalty if they do all the work so what
I usually do is I'll let them format my
book I'll let them send it out to
everybody but Kindle because I want to
submit my book to Kindle myself so that
I get all the Commission's because
that's where I make most of my sales so
that's just a suggestion and it's very
easy to submit your book to the Kindle
or to all these other ones as well so
ebook accom but baby calm there's others
out there again links below so bottom
line is you need to have an ebook
version of your book whether you use
print or whatever so I've given you a
lot of resources today to make that easy
for you outsource it if you can figure
it out by yourself bottom line is you
need your book finished and edit it and
you need a front cover and then you can
submit your book to all of these
different ebook readers so everybody
that's all about Kindle eBook publishing
just do it

want to go the traditional publishing
