I'm going to show you guys how to create a really interesting looking title animation using Stardust so without any further ado
Let's get straight into the video and get started the royalty-free music

Alright, so here. We are in After Effects
So let's start by creating a new composition and let's rename this to main cause this is going to be your main comp
1920 new 1080 30fps 10 seconds should be good, so let's hit OK and
Let's start by creating a new
Solid so hit ctrl Y on the keyboard to create a new solid and let's rename this to BG for background
Hit, okay, let's create it one more solid which is gonna be our Stardust layer
So let's hit control Y on the keyboard and let's rename is to Stardust
Hit okay, and let's add the Stardust effect to this
So there we have it
it's basically generate some random particles, so if I create a really you know simple camera pretty quick and
Switch into the camera view you can see we have some really nice 3d particles
And you can create some really complex scene using this particle system as it is node based
So yup and to get this kind of stardust panel make sure to go to windows and click on stardust
So let's go into the camera and delete this for now
And let's add our text so let's type in something like maybe
Motion graphics you can of course type in anything that you want
and
Then I'm just gonna align this in the center
just like that and then I'm gonna hide the layer, so let's go into the Stardust layer and
go into the emitter and
Let's change the emitter type to text slash mask because we will be using the text as the emitter and
then we can go into the
Layer properties layer and set this to motion graphics cause then that is our text
So now the particles are getting generated from the text
Now what I'm going to do is let's go into the speed and set this down to maybe something like five
So we have something like that you can see and also I'm just gonna pretty quickly set this to final quality
So you can see it more properly
So this is what I'm going for maybe. I'll set the speed down to zero for now
And also I'm gonna increase the speed along the path to 15 and
the speed randomness to 20
So we have something like that
now let's go into the particle particle properties and set the particle size to 3 pixels, maybe and
Then let's go into the text mask m-met type
And I'm going to set this to edge so now the particles are getting emitted through the edge
And as you can see we are you know we can see kind of our text?
You can also increase the particle if you want to someone said this is something like 150
Pretty nice let's go into the particles and
Let's change the color so set the particle color type from solid to random from gradient
And then you can go into the color gradient and select a preset that you want now
we have a number of different preset to choose from so I'm gonna go with this one and hit apply and
Then what I'm going to do is I'm gonna add our auxiliary channel to this so let's click on this
icon that we have and connect this to the particles and
In the auxiliary speed I'm just gonna set this down to zero all right
and then let's add one more particle system to our auxiliary Channel just like that and
There we have it now
It's a bit too big so let's go into the particle properties and bring down the size to maybe 1 and
There we have the effect that we are going for now the auxiliary Channel is a bit heavy on the system
So it may take a bit you know time to get rendered
Now what I can do is let's create a new camera really quick
50 millimetres looks good
And I'm just gonna turn off the depth of field for now hit OK then let's go into the Stardust go into the emitter
And let's increase the speed or not the speed actually the size in Z to maybe 150
So we get a bit more in depth as you can see depends on how much you know depth you want into the text you
Can increase it way crazy like maybe 300?
To get a really cool effect also for the emitter. I'm gonna set a bit more number of particles to make 250 or something
see looks pretty interesting and
For the size Z. I'm gonna go with
120 or something like that yep, and also this is 3d so I can switch into my camera view and you can rotate it just
Like that as you can see very
Very interesting so now what I can do is I can maybe you know go into a camera view and zoom in a little bit
Bit more
And
Also, I can turn on the depth of field so hit a two times and turn on the depth of field increase the you know
the aperture to run 120 or something like that and
for the
Focus distance I'm gonna actually
Start from maybe 800 something let's see
I'm gonna go on increasing
The focus distance unless and until it focuses our text
Yep something like that as you can see now
Increase the flow level just to get a more tighter you know depth of field
I'm gonna increase in the focus distances to get the desired look
Yep, it's looking very very interesting so now what I can
Do is as we are you know?
emitting the particles from our text you can anytime change the text so maybe if I want to change the text I
Can do that pretty easily I'm going to call this lines, and as you can see
There we have our really nice-looking text, so you can create some really nice close-up shots using this technique
so if I just zoom in you know
May it please the camera. I'm gonna actually go and bring down the depth of field to maybe 50 and 100 just to you know
Scene renders up really quickly and also turn off this for now
Let's go really close to our scene
As you can see we have a lot of depth into our scene
And if you don't want this dot that we have you can you know anytime turn off the particle just like that
And you have some really nice and simple lines, but I like to keep it
Add maybe let's go with two
Pixels and turn this on so we get three nice kind of taught it feel
And as you can see this particle starts emitting from the dot looks pretty interesting to me
You see let's turn on now the depth of field of our camera
It's pretty far I guess I'll bring this close
Now let's increase the blood level and aperture
As you can see looking really really nice
Also, I'm gonna. I think bring down the particle to
Size so you may be point five or something like that because it's a bit too big so point five maybe yep
That is looking much better or maybe
Go with something like point seven or something yeah, that is doing much better
So you can see we get this really nice kind of a macro
shot you can see
So let's do some pretty simple camera animations really quick
So let's go into the camera head a two times and turn off the depth of field just for now
And also I'm gonna head to you and reset the camera actually hit
Usually the camera oh, I think it's a I don't know I forgot the shortcut so any time anyways
I'll just reset this just like that you can see we have our
Text I think that I need to increase the size of the text a bit maybe 50 or something
Yep, much, better. Let's position it in the center
Note on the title I can see
Just precise and there we go. You know we select this maybe and I think it should align
It's not aligning it so I think we reset the camera that is what I'm going for let's set this to five second
Okay, I'm gonna also increase the depth so I can increase the Z size of the emitter
Maybe 150 or something like that yeah, looking pretty nice
so let's create a
Really cool camera animation or really simple camera animation, so let's select the camera hit P for the position properties
Create a keyframe go back. Maybe to 2 seconds just so that we can see the text and zoom in
really really close
Like that
Okay and drag the keyframe to the very beginning
Celebrity frames and hit f9 to easy ease the camera easy is the keyframes
Go into the graph editor select this point and drag this handle to the left
Just like that maybe a left just like that so now we should have this really cool looking animation
Now to make it look more interesting
What I can do is
Let's go into the Stardust you can create some really different effects using this so one effect that I like to show you guys is
If I go into the auxiliary system and increase the speed I guess
This is 10 get this really interesting effect as you can see
Looks interesting and kind of weird as well
It's too much. Maybe Elsa said this is 50 as you can see
It's kind of fireworks
Kind of stuff so you can play around with the speed and you know find the effect that you like
Also, you can do is rotate it or
Maybe I can orient it to different
Position, let's try the different direction now. It's not working
All right so now
I'm gonna go into the emitter, and if I play route the speed so if I make this move something like Phi
It's gonna displace the lines to create this really nice and kind of an abstract look
So you can keep it really high V wanting me something like 20 to get some really crazy look which I think is pretty interesting
But I think it's a bit too much
So I can go maybe something like seven which looks very very nice and subtle and there we have it
really nice like an animation
So let's let's place it in the position and let's do some color correction or let's add some glow
I'll say so let's add some glow to the Stardust layer
There you go, let's set the threshold a bit high
So like data increases a blue
Glow radius really really high doing something like that to get this really
Nice look as you can see also for the glow threshold. I'm gonna set this to 60
60 bit too much 25 or something yep, that is looking very very nice
and
Let's add some optical flares to this just to make it look more interesting
So let's create a new solid we're heading control Y on the keyboard and let's rename it to Oh F for optical players
Set the blending mode to screen
And let's add optical flares to this
Let's go into option. We just need to glow so I'm going to clear this all and just use the globe
Position it somewhere there and let's change the color to something like a really nice
Orange color
Something like dark
That's it control deduplicated, and let's make this kind of a reddish color
and I'm gonna place it somewhere around there I
Think it's looking very very nice also. I'm gonna switch to 16 bits per challenge
Just to avoid any kind of colour bandings, or you can also add a noise to this
And said this to really minimal maybe something like 2%
So it will help us you know to avoid any kind of colour bandings
And I'm gonna copy the noise effect on both that optical flares
And as you can see
We get this really interesting
animation
And I'm using some simple camera animations, but you can make it look you know more interesting by using some dynamic camera animations
Maybe if I just you know get a new camera really quickly just to give you guys an example
so I'm gonna set this to movies on like 28 millimeters and
Let's hide this camera
You have the camera to go into camera properties now just rotate it a bit you
Can see we can create some really interesting
Camera animation cuz we have some really nice depth into our scene so again. You can just you know go into it
