YouTube Subscribe Popup Animation in After Effects - After Effects Tutorial - No Third Party Plugin Video Lecture | Motion Graphics: Master the Art - Graphic Design

hey guys what's up this is Nikhil from
the emotions calm and welcome to this
brand new effects tutorial now before we
begin with the tutorial I just wanted to
say I'm really really sorry for not
uploading a new tutorial from ideas
maybe 7 to 8 days and the reason was I
got sick I got chickenpox and I was
having really high fever and all that
bad stuff but I am absolutely fine now
and I'm back again with another tutorial
so today we're going to be creating some
really nice and cool-looking pop of
subscribe animation that you guys have
probably seen in my tutorial which pops
up at the end of my tutorial so today we
will be creating this really cool and
simple animation so without any further
ado let's get straight into After
Effects and get started pretty quick
alright so here we are in After Effects
so let's start as always by creating a
new composition let's rename this to
mein kampf
1920 into 1080 30 frames 10 seconds and
hit OK so the first thing let's turn on
oh it's done on the title action safe
and create a square not a square
basically a rectangle then color it
anything that you want we can you know
change it up later as well so maybe
something like this big let's go to
rectangle rectangle part 1
unlink this and let's set this to around
let's go to 500 okay zoom in just place
it somewhere around there and maybe I'll
just set this to around let's go with
let's go with let's go with 150 maybe
let's see I think that should be fine I
guess yep that looks pretty good to me
let's make this kind of a red color okay
so using the arrow keys I'm going to
position the shape in the position that
we want okay so this is the position
that I want to go with let's rename this
to something like let's call this
one for now and what I'm going to do is
I'm going to use the Anchor Point tool
anchor point script basically and I'll
provide the link in the description
below so you can download the anchor
point script and I'm going to move the
anchor points crate in the center and
let's scale this down to around unlink
this first of all and let's queue this
to around somewhere around let's go with
40% or maybe let's go to 50% perfect
let's position it somewhere around there
and I'm gonna position it somewhere out
there okay and then I'm going to move
the anchor point at left side just like
that okay and put it somewhere there use
the arrow keys just to be a bit more
precise okay pretty cool then what I'm
going to do is I'm going to animate the
scale properties so basically we need to
animate the scaling property just like
that so I'm going to set this to zero
create a keyframe at the very beginning
go to one second and set this to all the
way up to hundred or maybe not hundred
but to 120 and then I'm going to hold
ctrl shift edge to split the layer up oh
it doesn't work Oh ctrl shift D sorry
for that to split the layer up hit you
and get rid of the ski frames create a
new keyframe and this time make sure the
anchor point is in the right side go to
two seconds and bring this up to hundred
just like that so now we have something
like this pretty simple maybe I'll bring
the keyframe to around one second and 15
frames now we have something like this
okay
so right over here I'm going to hit
control shift D again to split this
layer up hit you and get rid of the
keyframes then I'm going to make sure
the anchor point is in the center just
like that
and animate the scale again so create a
keyframe on the scale property go to
maybe around two second and 15 frames I
guess yep
and bring this up to hundred so now you
have something like that I think 100 is
looking pretty big so maybe I think I'll
make it somewhere around there let's go
with 80 okay so we have something like
this pretty cool let's go right over
your set control shift D to split this
up hit you and get rid of the key frame
from the scaling properties and now I'm
going to animate the position it P to
bring down the position properties
create a keyframe on the stopwatch of
the position go to three second and 15
frames I just move this up just like
that a little bit just like that now we
have a position animation just like that
maybe I'll give it a pause in between so
maybe 15 seconds of false the 15 seconds
15 frames of pause something like that
spring this keyframe right over you then
it moves okay now the animation base
animation is completed so let's give it
some really nice motion to this so let's
select all the keyframes and hit f9 to
easy those keyframes so the first
animation is this one so let's select
the keyframes and go to graph editor and
make sure you're walking in the edit
speed graph and not in edit value' graph
and let's drag this creating a curve
like that
so now we have something like this you
see and then I'm going to select these
two keyframes go to graph editor and
create a curve just like that so now our
animation should look like this pretty
cool
and right over here I'm going to select
all keyframes go to graph editor and
create kind of a peak of animation
select the keyframe again maybe okay so
that looks pretty good to me
we will just move it a bit like that yup
pretty sweet bring it a bit closer
because I want this to snap it up just
like that maybe a bit more closer I want
the animation to be a bit more snappy
bring this keyframes as well yeah that
looks a bit more better let's select the
position keyframes and go to graph
editor and then let's create a curve
like so let's see what we have now I
bring this a bit closer
okay this is looking pretty good
let's see your animation okay looking
pretty good maybe I bring this a bit
close just like that think that is a bit
too fast maybe I'll go to grab it again
and tweak some settings just like that
let's see okay that is looking pretty
good now what I can do is start to add
our subscribe text so let's select the
text tool and type in subscribe you can
type and of course anything that you
want and I'm going to use let's use uni
sans bring this down a bit like that
make it this big you're on 83 or
something like that position it so now
you have it okay
let's position this right over here and
let's animate the cracking of the text
and by tracking I mean let's add an
animate tracking there we go and now we
can animate the basic spacing of the
text just like that so let's start from
a really good number like that okay
create a keyframe go to somewhere around
there and bring this closed just like
that
select keyframes hit f9 Easy's go to
graph editor just drag in just like that
now you have something like that
you see we all just drag this keyframes
a bit far
pretty good and then what I can do is
select this layer and hit ctrl D to
duplicate it let's change the color so
we can see it more properly so this is
going to be our mat for the text so
let's change toggle switches and change
the text crack mat to alpha mat so now
we should have something like this as
you can see looks really cool and then
what I'm going to do is parent the text
to the fourth shape layer so now we have
something like that but as you can see
our shape is not big enough to you know
act as a crack mat throughout the
animation so you can just scale this up
just like that and the problem is solved
so what I want now is the last thing is
to add one more text right over you when
the shapes goes when the shape goes up
so let's type in another text which you
can type in it of course anything that
you want and we're just going to type in
those motions maybe are just small place
it somewhere around there perfect go to
write or you select the text dope
motions or the second text and you have
you know typed hit P to bring down the
position properties create click on the
stopwatch to create a keyframe right
over here I just bring this a bit
somewhere around there so now we have a
small little animation at then select
keyframes hit f9 to go you know queasy
the keyframes go to graph editor and the
same thing just dragging this just to
create a curve like that and just put
this behind the shapes so now we should
have something like that as you can see
really really cool and of course you can
add your video or your image whatever
that you want and use it as an overlay
and we don't need to text write audio so
I'm going to crop the text up from here
so you know just hold alt and close
bracket to crop this
up and there we go so let's see our
complete animation now as you can see
it's really simple and easy to create
and looks really really nice and snappy
and pretty simple and easy to create so
the last thing that we need to do is add
some lines just to give it a little bit
more dynamic I'll say or maybe a little
bit more flavor to the animation and
it's pretty simple to create what I'm
going to do is slow right over here so
that we have a reference of our shape
and select the pen tool we don't need
the fill so I'm going to set this to
none
you just need the strokes on a set this
tool around let's go with two pixels
should work good and create a line by
holding shift just like that now if you
have a simple line as you can see let's
position in the place that we want there
you go and then I'm going to add a crimp
art to the line so let's rename this
pretty quick two lines and add a crimp
pod and basically I'm just going to
animate the crimp pot just like that as
you can see so let's place it at zero
then property to zero go back in time
create a keyframe go right over here and
set this all the way up to hundred
create a keyframe on the start property
go forward in time and place it up to
100 and then I'm select all of these
keyframes hit f9 to easy
ease those keyframes hold alt and just
drag them closer to each other just like
that so now you have something like that
as you can see you'll drag this a bit
forward and kind something like that
it's going to graph at it up and create
a curve like this pretty cool as you can
see really simple and easy to do and
basically duplicated and just move it at
the bottom as well and they we have
a really nice accent for our animation
as you can see so as you saw it's really
easy really simple to create and really
quick to do you can make them look even
more complex as well using some
different kind of animation the basic
idea here is give you guys an idea and
to show you guys how I created my dad
short quick snappy looking lower third
animation for the subscribe animation I
don't know even that make sense or not
anyways and one more thing that I'm
planning to do a Q&A video pretty soon
