Google Analytics says and dissin
analytics and I think it's fairly simple
let's look at it the analytics of

your customers and potential customers I
think it's a pretty simple definition

so what really are the kind of analytics
that is generally tracked in our
internet company web analytics mobile
analytics and business analytics
business and analytics includes a lot
you know it could be a call center logs
an email support logs all of that now
let's look at Google Analytics so Google
Analytics is a free analytics tool from
Google which is actually one of the most
used Google used analytics tools
anywhere in the world I'd be showing you
how to use Google the basics of using
Google Analytics now the first thing is
how do you set up a Google Analytics
account and it's very simple go to
google.com slash analytics log into your
Google account click on the admin tab
the admin tab will be something that
looks like this click on create new
account under your account you'll get a
form with details of your website fill
that it
once you fill it you will receive a
tracking code the tracking code will
look something like this now this
tracking code is what you need to paste
into every page of your website before
something known as a head tag remember
you will need some tech intervention in
this
and now you can start accessing your
site's data from your analytics account
now how does this really work how does
one single you know how does Google
Analytics really work so when the
browser loads a website it triggers a
JavaScript and this sends some
information back this information is
collected processed configured and then
report it into your analytic system
don't worry too much about this and
let's just move on to the next one so
now we have something called dimensions
and metrics so all your reports in
Google Analytics are a combination of
dimensions and metrics
what is the dimension a dimension
describes characteristics of you users
their sessions and actions a metric will
tell you the quantitative measurement of
users sessions and actions metrics are
always numerical data so let's see this
is an example so I've given you a
screenshot if you see here what is on
your left hand side this is called a
dimension what you see on your right
hand side is always going to be metrics
as simple as that
whenever you log into your Google and it
is account gently what is on your left
hand side is dimension what is on your
right hand side is matrix matrix are
numbers
