the CEO here and I've got some basic information
for you about ISO 9001.
So there's two standards running at the moment, there's ISO 9001-2008 and there's ISO 9001-2015.
The standards all about quality management
systems and it's the specification that outlines
how to take the promises you make to your
customers and the expectations that your customers
have and implement that within your organisation. Some might say it's using a quality system
or having a good quality system to deliver
your business plan.
Recently the standard, the new addition to
the standard which is ISO 9001-2015 has been
upgraded it's been simplified and the amount
of documentation that you need to put your
system together has been minimised. We
take a principle of risk based thinking and
we look at all of the risks associated with
all with your organisation and your organisations
and management system around customers and
service delivery and start to look at the
controls that you can implement.
So it's much more focused on service delivery
then some of the old standards.
It's not a standard that requires you to develop
lots and lots of documents and having all
this bureaucracy in your organisation is definitely
not something that we're looking for.
It's about having some having a simple system
that helps you implement what you plan to do.
It helps you identify what some of the issues
might be and ultimately looking at the aim
of keeping your company fun efficient profitable
and sustainable and obviously more focused
on your customers expectations and customer
experience.
